That's what PO boxes are for.

And shotguns.

NCI use more sophisticated methods for checking out the security issues of other operatives. Do you really think an organization with the power of NCI is going to leave spying on operatives up to other operatives? FFS guys get a grip thats what Y1 is for

Attention All Operatives,

The beginning of 2006 has seen some momentous changes for Neurocam International. The first- and most broadly sweeping- has been the conclusion of Neurocam Phase One Operations. Which I am pleased to announce, has shown astounding results.

I would like to personally thank each and every one of you who participated in Neurocam International Phase One. Without you, we would not have been able to accomplish nearly as much.

As of May 1st 2006, all phase one Operatives are hereby released from their operational duty. We have closed and sealed the records on all Phase One Operations. These are no longer available as they are now in the possession of Neurocam International's Research Division.

Many employees moved on to outside opportunities, others have been inducted into the Nautonier and will no longer be in contact outside of Nautonier channels, and even more will continue on within various branches of Neurocam International.

I am also proud to officially announce the beginnings Phase Two of operations. Applications for Phase Two are open as of May 5th, 2006.

Neurocam International would like to express its deepest gratitude to all of its phase one operatives for the dedication and expertise they have shown this organization.

Good luck in all of your future endeavors.

Regards,

Harriet Moore

I got interested in this, but spent some time researching tonight. For anyone interested, this document should shed a lot of light on exactly what Neurocam is. Lame, if you ask me. As far as I can tell, this was posted by someone who made it pretty high up in the "organization" but got pissed about getting fired or something, so they posted this to out them.

Almost everything about NeuroCam is disinformation... that's part of the joke.

i dont agree

so far, none of the assignments i have been given in my "neuro-life" have been discribeable as "disinformation" (of course i cant give specifics) but most have been like "go here, and do this, go over there and do something else, pass this on to such and such, write a report on this other thing over here". all in all its been entertaining. most of the "disinformation" i've heard is only from a few sources, and most of that has been stuff that was so incredible, as to know instantly that it was crap.... and after a while, you just dont trust those sources....

Mr. Ling,

I see.

Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't reveal this, but due to where we
stand.. Operative G was pretty deep undercover in a rival organisation's
so-called operations. The reason he was there I cannot disclose.

Thank you, you have performed a great service to us. I invite you to
apply to join Neurocam International, if it interests you. If not, I
wish you luck in your future endeavours.

EDIT: ok, I might be begining to understand better. Are you guys involved in doing missions like this, could it have been one of you that emailed me? *points an accusing finger*

EDIT2: Wondering just why I was contacted, I scrolled back a bit and found this:

I think it's rather obvious that the "technical difficulties" were staged, and that all along the point of that conversation was the message. I have a hard time believing that a PM would not have the time to send an email or upload an image.

As I see it, there is no "image". Just an interaction point.

I get that the not being able to email it was staged, but when he tried to send me that image, a download thing popped up and it acctually tried to send me an image, so I don't know..

Hi. I just registered on this site to be able to comment this Neurocam thingy.

There is one thing people haven't discussed, and that is how do these people get paid????? Really, I have tried many ARG's and one thing im into right now is The Lost experience, a spinoff arg of the tv show lost. In this arg you have to check out sites, blogs and stuff for clues, basically the standard arg. And the ABC (the tv company that broadcasts lost) get in a lot of money through sponsoship. The implement clues into corporate website (such as monster.com, blogger.com), and have produced fake podcasts/radioshows with commercials in the end (jeep) AND they even have made the storyline fit into different corporation eg. one clue was a letter that a fake executive (in-game) had written to a jeep executive ordering 50 cars.

My question is if this would be an arg they would need to make money through sponsorships and commercials, but there are no signs of this. And how did they afford to put their commercial on a billboard.

And Im thinking of joining this Neurocam, I have one question, is it safe and comfortable? Because I would be very uncomfortable if another operatives mission was to spy on me or to take pictures of me (even if it only is in game and for game purposes), i dont want to end up becoming paranoid and crazy, thinking that everyone i see when i go out is a spy and stuff like that.

After doing much research, I have come to the conclusion that Neurocam is as safe as you make it. If you put yourself in a dangerous situation during an operation, you are the only one at fault. Neurocam does not ask operatives to do anything illegal or dangerous - it might just come across as 'shady.'

Neurocam is not an ARG. Have you read the disclaimer on the website?

The money which the organization is fueled by is most likely classified. I wouldn't spend time worrying about such trivial aspects... NCI operations have been carried out for some time now, so it's safe to say they're getting a well-enough funding.
