Option F: Have Caine sneak in as a waiter/busboy/what-have-you
Strong possibility he would say no. Also, he would not be able to talk to the guests there without raising a lot of suspicion. On the other hand, he would have an excuse to wander around the floor and listen in to a lot of conversations without talking to other people. However, he could not stay in the same place for too long before security figures out he's not supposed to be there.

The kitchen staff and waiters always know more of what's going on than the party goers. People tend to forget that waiters/ barman what-have-you are present when the gests are talking.

If we push their profile aren't they going to pretty sharpish get hold of the Website/Blog, with it's 'Help me get into the party' entry?

I'm sure Violet posted recently saying that they were going to increase the security of the blogs to earth, so we have to presume that no one can see them apart from us (can't find the post though...does this ring a bell with anyone?). This has niggled at the back of my mind all the way through, but only recently been made explicit; but still doesn't cover 3P agents on Earth viewing them.

Hi, first post.

Dunno if it's of any relevance or, indeed, any help but it's the Download festival this weekend (the rock/metal mosh fest!). Could we link that into the Ooze marketing campaign?

I remember someone talking about increased blog security, so I don't think we need to worry about that.

How about a combination of most of the suggestions above?

Create a buzz about The Ooze, get Tippy to go with him, possibly get him (with a pseudonym? (Abel?) ) on the guest list (hacking?) so when he turns up Hesh doesn't just chuck him out on first sight…

Dunno if that makes sense.

He could go disguised…?

I like the idea of talking to Tippy. I'm sure she would be thrilled if a drink was "accidentally" spilled on a certain persons expensive evening gown. A few laxatives could be slipped in Mr. Hesh's drink.

Has someone been playing too many Hitman games? I suggest dressing up as the chauffeur... it always works for me....oops.. I mean Agent 47.

There's a pretty large hint on the Path of Least Time update. Well, I say a hint. It's more a slap in the face with a wet haddock.

Quote:
There was one other thing I wanted to mention. I met Caine in the common room this morning, and he confided to me that he was having problems getting into a Hesh party. Apparently his normal connections and strategies weren't working - I didn't ask - and he didn't even know when or where this party was, or how to get in. I suggested he take a look at the Hesh Intranet - there's bound to be information about the party there somewhere. I think he was a little disappointed that I wasn't able to magic up a solution, but if we're to trust him with anything, he has to start figuring things out himself.

So the file called June12.rtf, in Hazel Coldbone's area and about preparations for a party, is probably linked to the way forward. Monday next week would be which date? It's on the Wiki here.

The one that stands out to me is the hamburgers. Given Charlie Specht has been sacked, might there be an opening for a hamburger salesman/supplier/delivery boy?

Following BBuck's suggestion in the other thread and chasing up Kurt's notes here. My first post too, so go easy on me Smile

The June12.rtf file in Hazel Coldbone's area seems to be a list for a bbq, imho. Somewhere outdoors then, but that doesn't help particularly...

Also, is the Hesh employee/file list on the wiki up to date? I'm still catching up so I'm not sure, but it looks like there are extra files in the intranet now. See for instance Users -> Marketing -> Stephanie Mou

Stephanie Mou from Hesh Marketing seems to be organising it - from "Projects.txt".

Edit: Also "kitty_birthday" a picture of two cats, presumably, on their birthday.

The Delivery boy is a good suggestion, once he delivers the hamburgers, he could sneak off into the party. The'll be so many last minute things going on in the kitchen area, no one will notice that he's in.

Am I missing something - don't we know when the party is? Caine said that Pyramid night has been cancelled as they're having a solstice party *instead* - that to me says that it's on the night Pyramid usually is. I have a feeling that's Thursdays, but haven't checked.

I'm not convinced Tippy can be any help at all on this one. This is Hesh's party, and he's not going to invite his angry ex. I think it'll be just as hard, if not harder, to get her in as Caine.

I'm not convinced by the bus-boy approach either, as I think his face is well known enough that he'll be spotted and thrown out pretty quickly. Plus I can't see his ego letting him pose as a waiter.

I think we have to get him his own invite, and there are only two ways I can see to do that. One is to make the Ooze suddenly seem like the next big thing on Earth. The other is to have someone important take him along - which is the same as the Tippy plan, but without Tippy, as I don't think she can help us. Do we have any ins to anyone else famous? RFD?

Ah, but earlier in his post he also says: "...I didn't want to wait until their Pyramid night next Monday."

Heh. Clearly I should have reread the whole thing, not just the bit I thought was relevant Smile

OK, so does this mean this coming Monday? Cos if so that's hardly any time at all - probably not enough to create a convincing buzz about the band.

Ok, have a little more time than earlier. The .txt file posted above for Stephanie Mou, and the .jpg picture of her cats are both new (well, relatively at least, they weren't catalogued as being in the file system when we originally hit the Hesh Intranet)

Stephanie Mou is:-

Stephanie Mou

Office Number: 603

As far as the .txt file goes, it looks like there are a couple of points which could be useful to us:-

Quote:
Park concerts, which talent to send?

Would the Solstice gig count as one of these? If so, this could be a pointer towards a location - I'm assuming that the Ooze's previous behaviour pretty much precludes them from being considered "talent".

Quote:
Cancel RFD Solstice shows

Does this mean that Roll For Damage might be playing at this concert? (i.e. she has to cancel their *existing* shows) Or is it that they *were* supposed to play it, but for some reason now can't?

Quote:
Find events for youth day!

This ties in with Stephanie's voluntary work ("Separately working as a mentor for youths interested in the music business.") - could we perhaps use this to socially engineer an opening for Caine?

I've had a look through the other people on the file system briefly, but can't locate anything that looks promising/new yet...anyone else want to take a second (third/fourth/eighty-sixth) look?

J
