catherwood , darling, I was trying NOT to make a Lewis Carroll joke. But since you started it, this is more like what I had in mind:
Quote:
`You don't know how to manage Looking-glass cakes,' the Unicorn remarked. `Hand it round first, and cut it afterwards.'
But - yeah, you're right - he nails that and just about everything else!

sorry to disagree, but for me the image in the background is clearly one giant nuclear mushroom. If there are supposed to be two trees, how come the trunk in the left tends to be disseminated?
I have thought it might be a mushroom cloud too, but I am still leaning towards a couple of trees.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean about the trunks. They do look different, but I see it just as a function of how the color is blown out.
Regardless I still think the other vertical objects are fence posts. It looks like a shot into a medow or pasture with the light behind the trees.
Honestly I don't know what if anything it has to do with the price of tea in china.
Have we got anything else on this? I didn't get anything out of PS'ing it. But I was also working at the time.
Any Stegged info?

I personally think it's an eye trick of some sort. Like that classic old lady/young lady mind game.
You're meant to see the trees and grass, but then it looks - well to be honest it looks like a city with smoke stacks in the middle. Or maybe burning buildings. If you look at this from a matrix point of view, you have the Eden Utopia which was what the first matrix was supposed to be, the one that the humans rejected, but now they accept the cities and sky scrapers and smoke stacks of the business world: the embodiment of what humans desire most being successful and getting rich. But it's still the matrix.
Anyway, again that's if you're looking at it from a matrix point of view, which of course this game is still argued as being.

It could be a timeline that has something to do with events on littleboxes and the ones Beth 'predicted'?

Its not the desire to become wealthy that was absent from the "Eden" version of the previous Matrix versions. It was the abscence of faith.
The current 6th(?) Matrix version includes pain and strife. To overcome those obstacles, humans need to believe that there is "a bigger picture" that they are part of, either an afterlife, or a savior. Neo is their savior.
In the conversation with the architect, he says that Neo must exist for the Matrix to work properly so we know that he is an integral part of the matrix.
so anyway, the picture appears to be of 2 trees at first glance. I'm sure there is a way to make them more clear, but I can't do it.

In the researc from little-boxes it mentions about the hurricane.
Could that be a photo of the hurricane?
I have converted the image to negative format

When I looked at the wongmo heart pic in the negative format it looks like a heart monitor line......
or
when viewed regularly it reminded me of the burnt out city when morpheus is telling neo that we scorched the sky...
but without using my imagination it just looks like the trees fading up into the hearts..(heartwood?)

The texture on the hearts gives it the look of a rubbing.
Like the rubbings schoolkids do of brass plates for history class.
Or the old pencil on the notepad thing to uncover a previous message.

Hmm, another heart, another box, more rubbing?

Hmmm... there's a slight similarity between the new Wongmo wallpaper and carelessly.graffle
I've side-by-sided them:

The Wongmo wallpaper is a tree. The carelessly.graffle is an explosion.

I don't think everyone's convinced of that.

if you cut the graffle picture out, and place the flame's stalk between the two "trees", it resembles a muchsroom cloud. one of the very things Wongo would most likely be against.
