I imagine Violet's already told you about our big meeting. I'm refraining from telling Fleming very much about it for now. I know I could trust him of all people, but many of these secrets aren't mine, so it isn't my place to reveal them. I have told him, though, that we're very concerned that some sort of organised criminal group is undermining the hunt for the Cube. He's under the impression this is all part of my regular position on the Cube Retrieval Team, though. No need to mention the Third Power, he'd think I was just being ridiculous. It's like something you'd read in a terrible adventure novel when you're eight years old.

My job in this secret cabal is to try to find out anything I can about the equipment Bernardo Holyoke had from the Academy. What exactly was this gear, and what was it for? And what other things have gone missing, if anything? I suspect the man who would know the most is Henrik Tanner, who runs all of the Academy's security, so there's my obvious path.

Now, many years ago, Henrik and I were very friendly, but we haven't really spoken very much since I've been married. I'm trying to find a way to reconnect with him. Just enough to gain some confidence, and possibly surreptitious access to his office, but not enough to - you know - give him the wrong sort of impression.

It's a nasty business, using people like this, though I'm afraid it comes easier to me every day. Still, the enemy uses much dirtier tricks, and we won't save the world by keeping our hands clean.

Just because she's using her wilely feminine charms to lure him doesn't mean she's performing some form of degrading act. I say... go Anna! Maybe she could even use the old trusted line about the single malt aged 18yrs old.

 		Perplexed you have me all wrong I'm ALL FOR feminine wiles, (and degrading acts but that's another post). I'm just suprised at the turn of events. Oh and by the way I'm going to the UK on vacation next year, enlighten me on that," single malt" line so I can learn the local vernacular and a few extra degrading acts.

 		The "Single Malt" line was used in the film "American Pie" by Shitbreak when talking to Stiffler's Mom, the MILF. Well, not that I want to personally, but you get what I mean.

As for Henrik Tanner, I tried to do some background reading. The information on the wiki links to mirrors that are now forbidden. Are these Bri's mirrors or are they ones set up by Nik Doof and now have been lost?

This is gonna be a hard one for Anna, we're going back at least 6 years, given the age of her twins. I hope she doesn't raise too much suspicion.

I'm not sure I understand why Anna would need our help with getting Tanner's attention. I thought all women had the built-in ability to turn male brains to mush on a whim.

Well, it could be that Henrik's been a touch paranoid ever since the Cube theft, and might look on Anna's asking questions as highly suspicious.

 		I was going to drop a Not Even Doom Music reference, but honestly it's a lot of work for not a lot of funny.

Essentially, the reference is: there are some things that not even Doom music makes cool.
