Also, after the hack returned you to the Hanso page, where you unable to click on anything? I thought that was weird as previous hacks returned you to a "normal" Hanso website.

I clicked on the center of the compass (at the 629, 291 coordinate) and it opens up a link that just takes you to the LYCGY site. I'm thinking that's new because it formerlly took you to one of the hacked scenes, right?

No, that was how LYCGY was found.

LOL!! Ok, I probably deserve a trout for that one.

On the subject of LYCGY, check this out (sorry if going off-thread). This is a screenshot I've just taken from LYCGY, with contrast and brightness tweaked:

Here is a picture of persephone from google images:

Am I seeing things, or is she in there?

Yup... I can see her... Good catch.

Don't know what it means other than that Persephone provided the map.

That's definitely the same picture of her. In case it might relate, this is the picture of Persephone, a.k.a. "the Queen of Hades," from the DJ Dan podcast...

I'm not sure if this is an intentional connection but I google Hoo-Gon Choi and came up with this link:

http://www.informatik.uni-trier.de/~ley/db/indices/a-tree/c/Choi:Hoo=Gon.html

Notice the title of the book is "Hoo-Gon Choi: A Discrete Event Simulation Study for Incoming Call Centers of a Telecommunication Service Company." It's odd that the letter Hoo-Gon wrote to Hanso mentions telecommunication interference and this real-life Hoo-Gon has something to do with telecom. Anyone see any connections? Am I reading too far into this?

Namaste.

God, are they ever going to stop with the advertisements?! Now it's for the damn telecom industry as a WHOLE.

Looking just a tad deeper, the abstract about the book reads...

Quote:
Call center becomes an important contact point, and an integral part of the majority of corporations. Managing a call center is a diverse challenge due to many complex factors. Improving performance of call centers is critical and valuable for providing better service. In this study we applied forecasting techniques to estimate incoming calls for a couple of call centers of a mobile telecommunication company. We also developed a simulation model to enhance performance of the call centers. The simulation study shows reduction in managing costs, and better customers satisfaction with the call centers.

While this of course may not be anything, their method of using "applied forecasting techniques" seems rather Hanso-like.

According to the section you quoted, they did not use applied forcating techniques, they applied forcasting techniques; a subtle and perhaps poitless distinction, but a distinction none-the-less. All the same, most business modelling requires the use (or application) of forecasting, and I think looking to deep for links here might be overly hopeful.
