Stange, I didn't get one. Signed up again on the main page just in case. Don't they usually go out all at once?

Come on Chase! I'm worthy, honest! Why won't you love me!?!?!

I didn't expect the text to come as soon as I put in the information. It was kind of creepy

So has anyone who signed up at some point after the initial email was sent recieved any emails at all? I still haven't recieved an email and I guess it's possible that I signed up too late. Still, shouldn't they have taken down the registration page and stopped sending the text messages to new registrants?

And another new email from the House of Chthon
but this time it's linked to another image.. *gasp*
check this out.
Anyone with a decent background in chemistry around to enlighten us?

My background in chem is decent enough As the email states, they are looking for people with knowledge of RNA. The picture of the blackboard appears to be guanosine. I found this . That's what instincts told me right away, anyway. However, The ring on the top half of this sideways picture has 6 molcules... making it a hexose (5 carbons,C, and an O) when it should be a pentose (4 C and an O). Maybe that is why one of the C's in the molecule is underlined twice? Also... the base, guanine, (the 2-ring molecule on the bottom half of the image) is connected backwards. It is connected to the hexose through a bond with the double bonded oxygen rather than being bonded to the N on the smaller ring (the Nitrogen without the CH3). I assume they don't actually need us to have figured any of this out. I'm sorry if that was a lot of science jargony-nothingness. Anyway, there's some information for you

The hexose sugar shown is glucose, making this a monomer of GNA (glucose nucleic acid) rather than DNA or RNA. The small hand-drawn molecule is uracil, this nucleotide replaces thymine in RNA as compared to DNA. The circled H (for hydrogen for the non-scientists) is replaced by CH3 (a methyl group) to make thymine.
Not sure what the equations are...my physical chemistry is rubbish, but they look like some sort of energy calculation? I thought that the numbers around the molecule would be the bond energies for each nearby bond, but I think they're all a bit off (that might be down to the source I looked at, will check again). There seem to be rates and constants involved anyway.
It's a weird juxtaposition of molecules, glucose is central in energy metabolism and the nucleotides have more of a structural/information type role. So stick them together and you've got...edible DNA?
The scary looking needle makes it look like someone'sgoing to be injecting it into someone else anyway....
[Edit] As this seemed to be a bit of a test, I mailed them with some of this. No reply yet though (not sure they're the replying kind, if you know what I mean).

In my trawling of google i have found many references to a Marvel Comics based Cthon.
Apparently some kind of
(The page of interest being here - http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix2/chthonother.htm )
In Nightstalkers #10 apparently,
"The vampire hunter Blade used to Demogorgoe Page summoned the Other. Taking the form of Blade's mother, it offered Blade the chane to habe his revenge on the supernatural by becoming a new Demogorge. Blade accepted and became Switchblade."
Also, the image in the last email has the url /aurora. Aurora is referenced at http://www.marvel.com/universe/Dracula
as:
"
Doctor Sun drained Dracula's power and had him destroyed; but to stop Sun, the vampire-hunters used Aurora Rabinowitz's virgin tears to revive Dracula, who helped Blade temporarily destroy Dr. Sun."
This keys in to the life and death revival mentionned in the email, if only this provdes background I found it useful so thought I would pass it along.

wasnt that in a movie? i was looking at the email above (still havent gotten any emails yet ) and that injection type thing looks strikingly similar to the injection tool in underworld used to mutate the warewolfs. maybe chthon is planing somthing similar with vampire dna?
