Anyway, back on topic. Did anyone know what DHARMA stood for before this god forsaken memory game? I didn't have a clue, but it might have been mentioned elsewhere.

No, this is the first mention of it. Damon and Carlton said in a podcast that it was an acronym, but it was never mentioned in the show or on the old Hanso website what it meant. I'm certain of this because ever since they dropped that hint, we more obsessive LOST fans have been waiting for it to be solved.

My favorite guess was:
Doesn't Happen to Actually Really Mean Anything.

This is exciting to me, because it's the first definitive connection between the Hanso website and DHARMA that we've seen (someone mentioned this in this thread, I think).

Other than the message "Welcome to Dharma" on the newsletter page when you input the password. Wink

I'm pretty that was new info. I've worked on the LostPedia some as of late, and judging by the Dharma entry (http://lostpedia.com/wiki/Dharma), this was the first time they've revealed the source of the acronym. Until recently there was a bunch of theory lines there of various people's guesses at the what the acronym might mean. Nobody had it right, BTW, and yesterday I saw somebody crossed them all out and now they're all gone completely.

LostPedia is a very good resource (for those not already aware of it!)

It's a good source for figuring out what's already known along with providing thorough spec on what we don't, but I'm a tad surprised they haven't mentioned how the character Zander Widmore, the bad twin himself, might be a reference to Dr. Armand Zander, the director of the Vik Institute.
