[EMAIL] Sarah June 16 - Wes' death, AGP death, Masks, Iris

I had asked her the following:
Quote:
Hi Sarah,

You don't know me yet, but I have reads so much about you, and written by you that I feel I almost know you. Silly isn't that?

I'm one of Taryn's friends, you know the girl who put together the Petition to save the library.

Given what I am about to ask you, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that Taryn knows me. I have to ask some odd questions that so far, others have not been willing to answer. Why I am asking them may sound like a poor excuse for a horror movie as well.

First question: I have seen mention that something happened last year at Ash Grove Park. What was it that happened, and when did it happen?

Second Question: This one involved Wes Keeler. I really loved those bumper stickers he used to come up with. Could you tell me about when he passed away and how he died? I realize that this may dredge up a lot of old memories that people would prefer to leave alone, but I think Wes would understand why I was asking, even if he might wonder about if I was trustworthy or not.

Third question: About the masks that were stolen. Was there any feature about them that seemed to link them together? I know they were all masks, but was there a theme behind their creation? Did they represent totems, or archetypes, or spirits?

Also I see that Iris Page is moving into the old EOTW shop! I think... I think that Wes would approve of her. I think she would appreciate the history of the Library Building as well. I think you may find her to be a sensitive person.

Oh, how I desire to be there in Aglaura! I would enjoy taking you and Iris and Phyllis to lunch some time!

I thank you for your time. I know my words sound a bit like the odd memory quirks of the residents in town. I guess I just can't stay away from odd mysteries.

Thanks again for reading my letter.

Steffeny

This is the reply I received:
Quote:

Dear Steffeny,

Thanks for writing to me! I am so pleased about the petition and the great response it is getting. I'm glad she thought of doing it. You've got a lot of interesting questions in your message, and I'll try to answer them as best I can.

First of all, there was a tragic incident at Ash Grove Park last year where a little girl died on one of the rides. It wasn't anything the park did that
caused it; I think a brand new piece of equipment failed. In any event, it was truly awful and the park closed down for the season afterwards. Her poor family.

Secondly, the question of what really happened with Wes Keeler is a good one. He died in a car accident a few years ago, but there were a lot of issues raised which were never really answered, at least to my satisfaction. I don't know what really happened, or if I'm just imagining a conspiracy there, but it's something I've wondered about often.

Last, about the masks - really the only universal thread between them all was that they were somewhat inspired by the masks that the princess in Sixth of Never made. I guess I just picked things which are important to me, like knowledge and history (obviously subjects which any good librarian should love!) and made masks incorporating their elements.

I am quite interested in getting to know Iris Page better. Phyllis Willingham has mentioned her quite a lot. I've met Iris briefly but not had the chance to talk with her in depth. Hopefully soon we'll have time for a nice sit-down.

Please do let me know if you're in the area sometime. I love making new
friends! Keep your fingers crossed for me next week, with the city council
vote on the table.

Kind regards,
Sarah Wyatt

Evidently Phyllis already knows Iris! I wonder how they met?
Sarah has questions about the Car accident that Wes was in. Hmmm... wonder if it is related to the memory issues that people have been having.

I also wonder about the accident at AGP. Did the park owner make a wish? Or did the Parents of the girl? That might be why the memory issues are cropping up....

Could it be that the wish just needs to balance the forces of life and death across the various realities? That's kind of a gelnral rule in physics and I think in many metaphysical concepts as well. (Yin-Yan, Karma, Chi, etc.)
