[EMAIL] From Peter at MysterTown.com June 18

This is what I sent on June 14.

Quote:

Peter

I and some friends of mine found the link to your site at mrleeds youtube site.
Couldn't help but notice the strange emails you received from walkerofthewoods.
Anyway, a friend may have figured out what is hidden in them.

He took the first letter of each word from each email and came up with the following:

twohdnaywohmpsavoshytttcthibydsimpdnlhaiyqnew
fourwiaiifdtpaniitnotaotndbsaptiliaold
onetambfticgyitmbiystspywemitpmbboaglaura
fiveetwasmitfwmeabtvatbovacptttftjywraotctsocaytpowirpymsecrets
threeeafeepetjfiiajaotwtytpbuapihyname

From this he got the following from the beginning of each string:

two, four, one, five, three

And the following from the end of each:

new, old, aglaura, secrets, name

When you put them in order you get:

one = aglaura
two = new
three = name
four = old
five = secrets

Aglaura, new name old secrets.

Hope this helps.

Sylvia

I got a reply today, June 18.

Quote:

Sylvia -

Many, many thanks. I don't think I would ever have thought of that on my own!

Now it's clear that this Woods Walker wants me to look into Aglaura
somehow. I've done a little research and I would like to visit the town
some time this
summer, if at all possible, but I still have no clue what "old secrets" I'm
supposed to be looking for. Also, I don't know if Google Maps is just out of
date or what, but I'm having a hell of a time finding Aglaura on the map. You
don't happen to have directions, do you?

Thanks and thanks again,
Peter

Got this today through the youtube mail. Like Sylvia I sent him a response on the 14th...

Hi Steffeny!

I'm sorry to say I don't know where the pictures were taken. They were sent in by a reader and I've lost the original email they came with. I suspect that the picture was taken by one of the people who are shooting in Aglaura, but I have no way of knowing where they took the video - it could be from anywhere. I doubt it's from anywhere near Aglaura, since I got the pictures several months ago and the camera crew was spotted only recently.

I've sent the Walker a few emails, but all I get back is cryptic mumbo jumbo. I'm posting it all at Mystery Town, so if I hear anything coherent from him, you'll definitely know about it.

By the way, I didn't get to thank you for your hint from the first email. Thanks!

to which I responded:

Hi Peter,

My frinds and I will take a look at the new messages and see if we can make heads or tails of it.

Evidently the group working with Mr. Leeds are working on a film project titled Devil in the Backyard. People have been seen with crates marked DITB that are with the film crew (link to that site: http://www.devilinthebackyard.com/main.html) some of Mr. Leeds clip[s have shown up there as well as a "logo" of sorts for Wesson Studios (link http://www.wessonstudios.com/) So far I haven't gotten any response from MrLeeds, or from Wesson Studios.

There is another site we are tracking: http://www.three-o-seven.com/ which might have some connection with the Pine Barrens story.

It looks like the "Walkerofthewoods" wants you to investigate the Pine Barrens around Aglaura. I know we could certainly use a set of eyes to look at the problem rationally. At least that is what the messages that you posted on your site June 11th seem to be saying to me.

It's another problem that may be tied in the the Pine Barrens/Jersey Devil and the abandoned house you received the pictures of. I'm a little bit leery of giving you the whole story, as some of it is not mine to tell... It started with an old friend of mine that I had lost contact with coming out of the cold to announce a Cominc/graphic novel that he is doing...

http://www.thewishcomic.com/

My friend's design site: http://www.synthasia.com/ his name is Dale Sprague.

Take a look around at those sites and let me know if you are interested in helping discover the truth behind the myths.

I didn't want to go all-in without feeling Peter out a bit first. He like exploring ghost towns, but I don't know if he is ready to meet the supernatural face to face. (yeah yeah, he's a character... but he still has human reactions).

Are there any other questions or comments people want me to pass on to Peter, since it appears he is using the comment section of Mr. Leeds Youtube videos to choose who he contacts?

Another minor tidbit.

I sent on June 12:

Quote:
Peter,

I happened upon mrleeds's Dark Figure film and noticed your comment.

Looking over the video again, I think the house seen at :27 IS the same house seen in the photos on your site.

ALSO, if you slow the video slow (and by that I mean manually move the video using the slider) to :22, a shot of a broken window almost EXACTLY matches the photo on your site. I see a possible explanation:

MrLeeds had filmed a previous excursion there and then taped over that film for this particular video.

This leads me to wonder if MrLeeds was the person who sent you those photos in the first place. You might have a better idea about this than me.

On an unrelated (I THINK) path, do you think you could forward those e-mails you've received from Walker of the Woods? I love little mysteries like this (if you couldn't tell), and might be able to help you out. If nothing else, I would enjoy the challenge.

I will admit, some of the wording in that latest batch of messages sounds familiar to me. I'm just not sure where from...

Maybe it will come to me...

And on June 18 I got this reply:

Quote:
Jon,

Thanks for the close eye. I'm almost positive that Mr Leeds is the person who
sent me those pictures - in fact, I wouldn't rule out the possibility that the
pictures are simply stills from the same video.

No mention of forwarding those e-mails, but I figured that wouldn't happen anyway. Very Happy

Here's the email I got from Peter.

Quote:
Yeah enaxor, the Walker of the Woods is still haunting me. I think he wants me to visit some town in NJ called Aglaura, a pretty interesting place; built on the site of one of the most famous abandoned towns in New Jersey. I have no idea why the Woods Walker wants me to go there, but I'm thinking I might visit just for the fun of it.

Thanks for the offer, nax (can I call you nax?) I'll keep you posted if I hear back from him again.

This is what I sent.

Peter,
Were you able to make contact with your mystery emailer? Is he still sending those cryptic messages. I have a couple of friends that are very good at puzzles and such. I'm sure we can help you out. Let me know what you need.

My Response

I sent this to Peter June 18

Quote:

You can start here http://aglauranj.org/index.php

Here is some history http://aglauranj.org/history.php

Here is a map, though not a very good one http://aglauranj.org/facts.php

As far as secrets, I'm still trying to figure that all out too and your help will be greatly appreciated.

Sylvia

also recieved back email from peter, after describing the finds on the messages:
Quote:
Tim,

Wow! You and your friends must be good at this. It took me two weeks just to figure out "Ongs Hat lives."

I've been checking out this Aglaura place through the site you sent. I'm especially concerned about the proposed construction there; if not carefully checked, it could be the beginning of a phase of overspending and underproducing - the beginning of a town death. I would hate to see Ongs Hat die again after being revived so fully.

I can't help but wonder what "old secrets" the Walker might have been talking about - as far as I can tell Aglaura is a normal town. I'm interested in making a visit down there, and maybe writing it up on Mystery Town. I don't know when I'll get a chance to drive down, though, since I've just started a summer job and it's almost as time intensive as school - hence the late response.

Thanks so much for your help.

-Peter

Sent Info about the petition

Also sent the following to Peter on June 19.

Quote:

Peter

There seems to be an odd connection with the Aglaura Public Library especially within the walls of the oldest section.
And those seeking progress want to demolish the building and digitize the library. There is a secret in that oldest section
and if the building gets demolished the secret will forever be gone. Some friends of mine have started a petition to save
the library. Please consider signing it.

Thanks
