Good play, good play. And welcome to the game.

Now... *thinks*

looking at that... moving to there... hmmm... right.

OK, the Justice versus Simian "We Are Your Friends" play. It can be a bit of a gamble, but it'll be intriguing to see where the game goes afterwards. For it's proximity to the lovely Somerset House, I shall suggest BLACKFRIARS and bid you good day.

edit - First post on page nine! 40 bonus points!

*Macavity manages to escape long enough to say the following:

"In light of the recent Mid-Game Fatherland Blitzkrieg, I feel entirely justified in using the Einstein-Rosen Bridge Maneuver of 1972 (which, incidentally, allowed the Allied forces to teleport a battalion of their best troops into the heart of Soviet resistance), and go straight to:

"Tower Hill!"

Oh, it's like that is it? I expect you're expecting the Janeway-Varying-Shield-Harmonics-Tactic, are you? ARE YOU? Well sorry to disappoint you Macavity, but you're forgetting that your own Tooting Bec maneuver has left the game wide open to a Flying Spaghetti Monster! Ah HA! Kiss my ST. JOHN'S WOOD! Kiss it and weep!

Gentlemen,

a bit of decorum, please. There are ladies and impressionable youngsters present. In their honour, I play Hopscotch.

Hmph. Interesting, most interesting. Well, in keeping with this game's WWII theme, and out of sheer cussedness, I think I'll be malicious and play the Stalingrad Attrition Delay, which brings us to:

Dollis Hill!

We must admit to being rather dismayed at the brevity of some of these games and so, to extend the life of this brilliantly started game, we shall play the oft overlooked Recent Split rule and veer towards:

EALING BROADWAY

Tha Stalingrad Attrition Delay tactic, eh? Hmm . . . as that invokes the Dollis Hill Loop, that's going to be a tough one to break, but just give me time . . .

While I think about that, it's back to Dollis Hill.

Aw, confound it, now I have to get back in here...
OK, the Line Jump can't be re-invoked on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
I'd Jimmy Shimmy to Holborn, but the trajectory's too risky.
Gah...

....

I GOT IT!

You're going to need to put victory behind you and let me handle it, but if you follow my instructions, we can get out before Friday.

OK, it runs like this: the Foucault Folly means that you have to move back and forth along the Dollis Hill line (Jubilee), increasing distance each time. The gravitational pull of Dollis Hill will turn the play point into a pendulum; each return to Dollis Hill will launch us past and keep the motion going. Then, we wait for the Earth to rotate (at least three hours, but less than twelve), but the swing will put us over a different track, where we can use the Hansen-Dwyer Bottleneck and get out. It has to go, to the letter, this way:

Neasden
Willesden Green
Wembley Park
Kilburn
Wembley Park
Kilburn

Preston Road (via the Pop-Top Shuffle Stop aorund Wembley after using Foucault to get over; must be played between three and twelve hours after the first Wembley Park; otherwise we careen back to Dollis Hill)

We need to work together on this one.
I'll start:

NEASDEN

*Macavity runs a quick computer simulation.

Gaspar . . . you are a GENIUS! Let's do it!

Willesden Green!

*Macavity hears a quiet bleeping from the simulator program.

Hmm . . . ?

. . . .

. . . .

EUREKA! Gaspar, look at this - if we manage to pull this off, we can then invoke the Fooley's Journey Rules, which means that thanks to [insert a whole bunch of technical gobbeldygook here] we'll wind up here . . .

Do you know what that means?!

If you would permit a new player to enter into the fray. Having found the rules by which we are currently playing, I will be utilizing an inverse-hyperion attack with a drambuie chaser and go for...

Oh no, you were on a direct path, but you've been diverted by DJ's belated intervention...and MISSED

MORNINGTON CRESCENT

phew, and the game goes into overtime!

Ooof! I never saw that one coming - good game everyone and congratulations to aliendial Smile

Reet, if you'll permit me I'd like to start a new game. After all those tricky moves I think I'll just set off with a nice simple augmented pinafore, playing....

NOOOOOOOOO!
We're back in Dollis Hill!
The game didn't end because Mr. Hot-Shot had to disrupt the trajectory. Evil or Very Mad

Alright, alright, The Line Jump is still unusable, and Foucault was a bust. What can we do?

Idea

OK, we're I'm going to need to go BIG on this one. I'm still going to need one person's help, but this will be on me. I'm going to need a Welsh Elimistation on Aldgate before we get pulled back in; the ensuing rip in the space-time-schedule continuum should open an escape wormhole from the Loop.

PERIVALE

(Somebody, go, now, play the hole, and go through to Redbridge!)

And, with Redbridge, I play the Bailey Bargain!

Considering that the Welsh Elimistation is non-standard for the Huxley-Orwell codec which we've playing playing under (this being June), I could and would normally call a foul and choose to undo the move. But, by stacking moves, and reecting the Undo (which would send me back to Dollis Hill), I penalize myself twice over. The first penalty puts me at MC in 62, but the second puts me at 62 from the last point, and 62 from MC in 62, considering that 62 - 62 = 0, is...

MORNINGTON CRESCENT

Excellent game, gentlemen; we could have never escaped without that teamwork, and I couldn't have finally won without your unassuming and foolish trust. Very Happy
