[OFFTOPIC] Need opinions/criticism/feedback!

Here: http://www.magenheimer.com/images/matrixgold.jpg

Like I said, I'd like any feedback I can get... I spent hours getting the modeling and texturing and everything just right... Oh my god... Very Happy

And if anyone's interested, I've got some more stuff that I think is pretty cool, so just ask.

-EDIT- Just darkened one of the layers to fit better with the flat matrix code... Okay, I'm done. Really. I am.

That looks awesome! Well done.

I like the way the code fades into gold/orange pipes.

But, the code, in the background, looks stretched a bit too much, thus losing some pixelation (or whatever the word is).

Looks QUITE beautiful to me; why didn't you include the code in your avatar? What is the shape (sorry to make a DUMB comment, but it reminds me of my Cartier ring)? And does the code being upside down mean something? And did you have a problem (see attached)?

I'm interested. PM me; but I need something sort of custom - don't know if you have time for that.

Anyway - very cool. Reminds me of Seraph for some reason (gold and green code maybe?)

Well, actually, I tried that, but when I did, I got something like this:

As you can see, the code doesn't really show up... But it was a good idea.

I didn't really have any certain shape in mind when I made it, it's basically just an abstract... I put a bunch of torus knots together and changed some parameters and fooled with position and stuff. Nothing special.

Actually, I have no idea why it's upside down... I never flipped it or anything, so I don't know how that happened... Laughing

Nope, no problem. That just has something to do with the reflection map, and the way the program (3ds max) decided to reflect it. I probably can't fix that without cheating (using Photoshop instead of editing the actual reflection map).

Depends on what you need... PM me with a description, and I'll see what I can do.

Yeah, I noticed that, too, but it wasn't intentional... Pretty cool!

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

I was going to ask the same thing! Nice picture, by the way. Good job!
