This still doesn't help much. I am so confused about how to get the stupid coordinates off of the vaces! Mad

If you are still having trouble with the jars, might i suggest that you look at the numbers on the right jar, read the clue the old geezer speaks, think numerically and consider the corresponding co-ords on the left jar.

The Jars are too confusing

I still don't get the jars. Has any one made it past domede Island yet. If so what is the name of the next island and if you will give me the coordinates that would help allot. Please help if you can pare the coords.

Thank you.

Hi - I think this game and this site are both excellent. My kids and I have spent a lot of time in the evenings working on the clues. They love it. My young son (12 yo) solved the forest shapes and circles on his own and my daughter has been very good with the word portion of the riddles.

This site has been helpful when we have needed clarification - so thanks.

I do wish some of the corrordinate clues were more word puzzle and verbally focused than having to always count but it is a small complaint.

Think of how much time and $$$ has gone in to putting this together - great summer fun. Sure I'd love to win but we will have fun with this none the less.

Palau Jong Cave Writing

Does anyone recognize the character on the left side of the image below? This was captured from the cave on Palau Jong.

It looks like a Chinese character, but if it's on a cave wall in Palau Jong, it may be a character from some other Southeast Asian language. Malay? Indonesian?

A clue? or just a wild goose?

Can someone give a better clue for the vases? I've gotten all of the puzzles on my own so far. And i'm not a dense person, i listened to the audio clue from the old man, I know to "match the snakes on the vase", but i took it like this:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I lined up N and 3 for example, that made a link in the snake. Is that the same for everyone? As I alternated rotating each jar, one left, one right, so the link stayed in tact, i wrote down all the numbers in order. N-3 4-10 4-6 1-9 5-4 5 2 1 5 6 11 W 8 8 7 6 5, then it's back to the beginning.
Dashes mean they showed up on the left and right jars at the same time. Single numbers mean only one of the jars had a number when lined up at that section. I know the N should go in the middle, W at the end.....but theres way too many numbers...how do i tell which ones to include?

Repost from the locked thread:

Rotate the jars so that they show a common image (I started at the 'seam')
Turn the left jar to the left, write down the numbers.
Turn the right jar to the right, write down the numbers.
They go together in pairs, like the circles on St Mary or the rungs on St Helena.

What do you notice about the numbers from the right jar?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you arrange the numbers from the right jar in the proper order, the numbers on the left will be your coordinates.

How to enter Palau Jong

This one was a little tough and even harder to explain.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Move your mouse slowly to rotate the island. There will be several dark caves at water level. Hover with your mouse until the hanf appears and click. It will take you into an underwater cave and in the distance are two vases. Click on the vases to start the next task.

Edit -- Moved to existing Palau Jong thread. Please Search before posting. Thanks! Smile --Phaedra
