Yeah, I've sent two emails to her today (one with the "solve", another saying to disregard it)
Give it a few more days...
And don't feel bad about the text looping thing, no harm no foul

Quick Question... Are we certain that the dognapper knows what our "client" looks like? Could we get away with having one of the women detectives in our firm pose as the client in a photo?
We could then send it directly to the dognapper...
Also, has anyone questioned the client about why her dog might have been napped? (There might be some clues in the answers).

Hi, JLR, and welcome to the brownboards!
You've got some great thoughts there, here's what I think:
The dognapper knew the email address of the woman, so it is likely that he knows exactly who she is. It is also likely that she knows who he is, since most crimes are committed against victims that the perp. knows.
As far as questioning the client... lord knows we'd like to. However neither she nor brian have been in contact for the past few days.
While I'd reccomend you keep an eye on this thread, this game may be over.
Still, I'd like to be optimistic about games
Yours
Duckie

While I see your point it doesn't necessarily follow that the dognapper knows the client. The email address could be on the dog's collar.
I'm being optimistic and thinking that we just haven't done the right thing yet, which is what led to to think we should have one of us pose as the client.
Maybe the game has died, but I'll hold out a while longer before accepting that conclusion.

Oh, Chippy, bless that old fighting spirit.
Everything about GOT YOUR DOG seems to have been, well, dead, for over a week. Still, if you can solve that riddle, please do. Not knowing is driving me crazy!

I can't say the idea of a dog-knapping ARG really appealed to me, but it still sad to see it go. IT DESERVED BETTER, DAMMIT! Sorry, this loss has really impacted me.
R.I.P GOT YOUR DOG
2006-2006
We shall remember you among the endless masses of failed TrailHeads and feldgling ARGs that were not thought through well enough

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
have we ruled out the possibility of it being taco bell, seems the simplest answer so far...
MADE BY THE BELL < Taco Bell
PLANT AND ANIMAL < Meat and lettuce
HOLD, HOOK < cooking terms?
PRESS, LIFT < cooking terms continued?
GIVE ME CREDIT. < pay for your food
my thoughts

wow. Y'know, in some weird twisted way, I think you're on to something. I never thought it'd be about a fast food joint...
I'll have another look when it's not 4AM
