perhaps the 'sorting out past wrongs' angle would work here?

I know it's probably a bit tasteless, but how about "Isaac's passing away has forced me to reevaluate my life and my past decisions..." etc. etc. as a reason for her asking to meet him?

No-one else has said they've emailed Anna, so I've sent her a note along these lines. Make amends, then if the conversation turns to work, asking from a CRT angle about things going missing.

I also said it would be wise to let Kurt/Caine know the time & location of the meeting.... just in case, you know.

Right, that's the end of me being sensible. Carry on with the gender bashing! Wink

Alright, so we need to have something by tomorrow that satisfies these criteria:

1. some security measure that necessitates Henrik's involvement.

2. some degree of sensitivity, since Anna couldn't talk about it in his office.

3. something that, eventually, will naturally lead her into talking about Reynolds Ionizers and Flux Capacitors...or whatever else was stolen.

4. and all ends with, "...and you were the only person I felt I could trust." *bat eyelashes*

Perhaps insinuating that CRT info is being leaked, and that the security team is somehow involved? As director of security it would involve him, it's a sensitive matter that she wouldn't want eavesdroppers for, and if she can finangle herself into helping Henrik look for the leak, she could worm her way towards the missing devices.

Suggestions? Comments?

I shot off an e-mail to Anna. I see that at least one other person did so as well, but I wanted to capture some more of the chatter here so she has multiple things to go with. We can always send another last minute one if I missed something, but this way she'll at least have something. I hope I wasn't out of line. I quoted people at random so I apologize if I used someone else's reiteration of an original idea that came up earlier in the thread.

Quote:
I'm not sure if anyone has contacted you yet, but we have been discussing Friday's meeting quite a bit here on Earth. You know the situation the best so I'm sure you'll handle things quite well, but here are some of the things we've been talking about.

Most people think going at this straight is the best route. Be honest and upfront. Start out with amends making (if it's not too much for you) and create a connection based on that. From there, get straight down to business. Tally writes "Can she not... mention that in her capacity as leader of CRT, she is following up on certain evidence from the original crime and linked crimes, and maybe even mention the Holyoake thing and the Ionizers and stuff, and then ask if anything else has gone missing?"

Others have suggested something a little more convoluted. You might invent something of a security issue. One person suggested you could say you think you have a stalker while others have suggested a fear that CRT info is somehow being leaked. Misroi writes, "Perhaps insinuating that CRT info is being leaked, and that the security team is somehow involved? As director of security it would involve him, it's a sensitive matter that she wouldn't want eavesdroppers for, and if she can finagle herself into helping Henrik look for the leak, she could worm her way towards the missing devices."

Lastly we've had suggestions to go for the seductress route. Play up your past relationship. Use our feminine wiles to get what you want. Not surprising, this was not a popular idea among our little Earth CRT group. e_nygma writes, "This is disgraceful surely? How do we countenance sending (married with kids) Anna in to flirt with this guy to pump him for information? Particularly as she's just preying on their previous relationship?"

The one thing that everyone agrees on is being smart and being safe. Let some of the others know when and where you will be meeting with Henrik. Feel the guy out to make sure you can still trust him. Obviously we'll never get anywhere if we assume everyone is working for the bad guys. European Chris writes, "I don't think there's any reason to assume he's 3P. I think mad specs saying people are 3P for no reason are a bit meh." Still, a measure of caution is never a bad thing.

Good luck tomorrow.

Hmmm.... interesting point, as I see EC raised earlier. However as everyone seemed to be having a go at Anna not simply because of the way she was acting, but because she is a female doing this, it appeared the correct choice of words.

Sorry if my grammatical illiteracy is confusing people. Oh, and before you start:

Of course you're both right, in my defence I do have downs syndrome. On most levels I'm doing OK, however I'm clearly not in the best position to judge that.

Well, I shan't be posting anything when I'm a bottle of wine to the good again...

But that means you'll only be able to post between 11.10am and 11.35am. Confused
