Just looked on google earth, looks good to me. Coords are about 48.23 88.46 . The image looks just like the google earth one, I don't see much doubt about it.

So should Rachel be looking at ports in and around these islands in Onatrio to try to find where this mysterious ship of Mittelwerk's may be docked?

SPOOKY... I'll be in Ontario in a week and 3 days.
Probably not able to get to the ports though.
If I spot any shady looking german men looking for boats, I'll let ya know.

(irc.chat-solutions.org must have had a power failure, as both chat servers went offline around ten minutes ago. "foshizzle" is back online now, but "cristal" is still not connecting for me.)
If you use the satellite images on Google Maps, you'll see that most of the area isn't available in high resolution, except for the south-west end of that one peninsula. Follow that direction further SW and there is another section of high-rez with an island. Zoom in on that, and you'll see a striking feature or two. This is Pie Island, and it has a perfectly round small lake, and a large circular or hexagonal outcrop of rock. This feature is called "Le Pate" and a description of it can be found at http://www.ontarioparks.com/english/lepa.html
btw, if you navigate from that page to their Park Locator, they do have a link to Google Maps under "new map of Ontario", but sometimes the API doesn't work. If you have a problem, close all browser windows and start fresh from http://www.ontarioparks.com/ and select a language, then navigate in. The page takes some time to completely load a locator pin for *every* park in Ontario, but zooming in on Thunder Bay can help. Some other interesting tags near Rachel's map include Porphyry Island.
If you just like using MapQuest instead of satellite, search for Hurkett, ON then zoom out; that puts you between the two maps in Rachel's video. The green peninsula is Sleeping Giant park.

canadians ...the true evil of the hanso faoundation reveled
there is plenty of shipping lanes thru the great lakes there are locks connecting the lovely lakes stuff gets shipped from one end all the way to the other end of lake erie
that would also be why he would need a special ship as sea going vessels are not the same as lake ships
i believe they have flatter bottoms and are wider so they don't run aground

And for more accurate lat/long 48.388204° -88.627171°
That - sign is important, otherwise you will get a map to the other side of the globe.

So much for it being an island on the equator. She was only off by a couple thousand miles.

Yep, looks like they grabbed that screen shot before last week when Google Earth updated its images, thats why it looks a little bit different.

I think thats great. She knows as much as we do. It looked like a tropical island from those pics, but the can be deciving. What I think is funny is that the top secret cartographers Mittlewerk is working with just printed off a google earth screen shot for him.

That's the Apostle Islands, just north of Bayfield, WI in Lake Superior. I'm from Milwaukee and I've been there before.
