well that letter was dated 8 months before the game started which is plenty of time for him to leave the consortium. It's the same as how large corporations promiss people in public office a job as a bribe to help them out.

As far as working for both at the same time, he could possibly (but a very slim possibility) sit on the board of the GWC while working at hanso but not the director general. That would be a total conflict of interest, you cant work for a company that is in charge of overseeing another company you work for. It would be like if Kenneth Lay had been the director of an energy commision while running Enron.

Sir, I believe that was the point Persephone was trying to make.

You actually think the Hanso Foundation cares that they've caused conflicts of interest?

The Hanso Foundation... causing conflicts of interest so you don't have to.

Exactly! And even beyond that, a consortium is not a corporation. It is, in this sense, "a cooperative arrangement among groups or institutions." In particular, a non-profit organization who performs oversight on human rights, I suppose.

Okay bear with me but I'm still worrying through these IM times. As has been pointed out all of 'The Numbers' are there except for '16,' but putting together the two dates with nonleading zeroes provides '16' and each of the other timestamps gives us a different number.

Here are the times, rearranged, to show you what I mean:

Mar 04 21:30:10

Mar 03 13:08:17

Mar 03 15:12:23

Mar 1 21:34:42
Mar 6 21:40:42

Mar 05 09:23:14

Mar 03 1:34:42

I realize that I'm ignoring a couple of other '23's and '42's, but if we assume that the unique numbers have priority (e.g,. 15), then it all works out.
I can't explain why, though, 3 out of 7 timestamps occurs exactly at 42 seconds, although the last 1:34:42 might just be a sloppy cut/paste from the first 21:34:42, because the odds of both minutes and seconds being the same seems even less likely. So, this still doesn't really explain anything useful...

Now here's where you say 'Ooooooookay' Smile

If he was working at both companies at the same time... why did he let the GWC write anything bad about hanso in the first place. It never wouldve happened.

Who says he let them?

Left hand doesn't always know what the right hand is doing. Although, in Hanso's case, shortly after this bad example concluded, lefty cut righty off of the body and is currently burying it in the garden. Problem is, it's really hard to dig a hole with one hand.

Also, thanks Dante, I'll remember to clarify next time about where I saw the numbers. But you're completely right, that's how they show up.

Could have been a power play. To show how much influence he could have over perception of the hanso foundation.

They watch the show, and I wouldn't be surprised if Hanso execs, as in the ARG characters themselves, are actually reading this board and tracking the clues that we have in order to counter all efforts to expose them.

If they did so, that what be a pretty severe violation of "peeking behind the curtain". I would safely assume this board is out of game for the characters.

You would think, but consider that this board certainly appears In Game for DSLerator, and he's a character. Afterall, he even links to Matt's Yahoo account, and he's one of our board members.

Or he could have not been working for the GWC when that happened. Once the letter arrived, Mittlewerk could have called up someone powerful, had the original director sacked and replaced with one of his own henchmen- choosing Peter Thompson because his background dealing with health disasters (albeit on the wrong side) gave him some credentials to work for a public health org.

DSLerator doesn't directly, but you know those Verizon guys are responsible for all that Mandrake Wig stuff. You're linked here...

Aw, "Mandrake Wig" linked to a LOT of people playing TLE. I see no reason to single out me. Laughing

What happened is that when word got out about his MySpace account, people playing TLE signed up for MySpace and added him as a friend. I was one of those people.

That makes sense. I don't even know how MySpace works, but I guess you're saying that when you add a friend, your name automatically appears on their page.

Well, they have to approve you as their friend before you will appear.
