It's slightly less than 24 hours to go to the "finale" competition and two things have yet to occur;
1) the winner from June 17th has not been posted
2) no instructions have been received from the previous winners about this weekend's contest.

For some this affects our afternoon/evening/night/early morning depending on the local time zone. Would be nice to know what is going to happen......

I wonder if the power surge earlier this week also affected the AGP server and did they lose their data? Are they going to postpone the contest b/c of that or b/c of the opening day death?

At least the park didn't disappear (or turn into a cemetery)......yet.

Personally, if it's postponed, then I hope it isn't rescheduled until AFTER next weekend (it's a holiday weekend for many). I'll be on the road ALL day that Saturday. "Hey mom, we have to stop in this town and find an internet cafe, getting close to 2:30p and I have to solve some puzzles....here, please take notes for me and help me find all my crypto websites so I have them available....think this internet cafe will allow me to join the #ctw chat room??" Sure, that will go over well. Rolling Eyes

Kona, according to this http://aglauranj.org/news/newspaper062106.jpg.
Cecil Leeds said the park would be closed indefinitely pending investigation.
So I guess it will be after the investigation. Who knows when that will be.

We apologize for the delay in posting these results. We, along with much of the Burlington County area, suffered a power surge over last weekend that ended up destroying data on our website, including both the qualifying and solution emails posted for and during last week's Puzzle Game. We have been able to recover only a bare minimum of this data. Additionally, one of the puzzles in this week's game had a minor error in it. Consequently, we have decided to qualify all of the individuals who submitted a response to the June17Qualify email address, with their GIFT TICKET number and decrypted code phrase. All five of these people have been qualified for the Finale of the ADMIT ONE game. Details of the rescheduled Finale will be available shortly.

The winning GIFT TICKET numbers and the puzzle solutions they submitted for Saturday, June 17, 2006 are shown in RED below:

Ash Grove Park Winning GIFT TICKET number: 375110, 375191, 375192, 375067, 375186

I'm confused, my ticket number isn't there and I think that it should be...I don't understand if they mean that all submitted qualifying tickets are in the drawing or if only the ones that got the puzzle right are in the drawing. I'm not sure exactly what I should do.....

it sounds to me like if you submitted an answer, right or wrong - since they didn't get a chance to check them? Maybe you should contact them?

Greywolf, since you said back on June 10:

Quote:

OH man! I didn't get home from work in time, my number was in the first round.

I don't know what your number is but I've checked the numbers from June 10 and June 17 and I couldn't find any duplicates.

What was your number? Post it here, so we can help you.

Maybe you misread the numbers and did not have the correct admit one gift ticket number.

I've sent an email to them, explaining what happened, hopefully they just lost mine when they had the power surge.

Just to confirm, i'm not quite sure of the 2nd chance rules myself, that ticket was originally drawn on the 10th, but you didn't enter, so then you entered it for the second chance drawing (do they send you a confirmation email for entering the the 2nd chance draw?) Not all 2nd chance tickets holders automatically qualify, only the one that was drawn from the 2nd chance pool on June 17th, so if your ticket came up Saturday 17th and you entered the puzzle competition, then you should have gone through to the final.

I thought that there was only 1 second chance ticket drawn each week. I did the puzzles and sent in my reply, here's a copy of the email I received.

Quote:
Congratulations. You have submitted the correct information to qualify to play
today's Ash Grove Park ADMIT ONE Second Chance Puzzle Game. At 5:30PM eastern,
we will post today's puzzles at:

www.ashgrovepark.com/admitone/puzzles.html

Please consider your answers carefully and submit them as soon as possible to:

June17SolutionSPLATashgrovepark.com

There is no time limit for solving the puzzles, but only the first player to
correctly respond will proceed to the Grand Finale Round on June 24,
2006. Your
reply must come from the same email address that this message was sent to.

Good luck.

Yeah you're right, I was thinking that you had to enter the 2nd chance during the week, but they basically just post a number that's already been up the week before.
As you say - I think they've just missed the 2nd chance winner during the confusion.
