 		Others should check for themselves, but it appears to me that the "view demo" link on the flashlight section on the Compass page has already been taken down. I guess Jeep (understandably) was nervous that prospective buyers would freak out, huh?

Clearly this is an older video taken soon after her last one, and is just coming out now. I'm sure Rachel has figured out the clue by now from her blog. Also, in the video Rachel managed to identify the guy, so hopefully she'll fill us in on his identity in her next update.

Now, as for where the port in question is, I don't think it's in Thunder Bay or in any of those island pictures taken. Looking at the maps closely there really aren't that many ports there, so I'm sure all of the ports we can find there will be easily identifiable as to which company owns it. Rather, I think the pics of the islands where meant to help them figure out a clever path to and from the area as a means to avoid detection. More likely their port is beyond those locations, somewhere that can be easily covered up by blending in with many ports around it. This brings me to Duluth, Minnesota as I likely location.

I recall seeing that Video on YouTube as well, but this is the first time we've been given any sort of in-game context for the video. Do we even know who that is?

As it relates, I tried typing out what he's saying although part of it I just couldn't figure out...

Well, to be fair, it is just his surname. Looking at him as a person instead of a written character, it'd be a bit unfair to link someone to the nazis just because their surname is the same as an infamous place in history.

Not that "OMG that must be the same guy" - Just the most basic knowledge of history, that a good number of German scientists disappeared into assumed names after WWII, a lot into the US and Soviet space programs, a lot winding up in companies manufacturing scary things. Mittelwerk's full name looks suspiciously like it was made up by someone at or connected with the Mittelwerk plant.

Now a shitload of ARG players got that much and began speculating almost instantly. I stand on my belief that Rachel is not the sharpest pin in the cushion.

I guess I deserved that, although even when I read that thread I passed over that link having no idea it mentioned the actual transcript. It sure would help if posters put a little more effort into identifying the links they post. Additionally, that thread was about "IM Conversations" and included almost no additional discussion about this video. Really, the extent of the video discussion was this one mere posting of an obscure link. Therefore, I see absolutely no reason not to further discuss this video here.


So the missing words are "and will make it right soon." I was thinking something along those lines, but he totally mumbled that part. It also makes sense that it's "Maestra48," as in the poster linked in the thread pointed out here. For a second there I feared this ARG character must have been reading their board, but apparently the two merely sent a few messages back and forth at YouTube. However, the character (known as "thejeepchannel" on YouTube) in this video later asks her to "give me the link to the board where you are getting the most resistence." Is that not a rules violation for an ARG character?


"Maestra" also revealed part of their conversation wherein this character says...

I post this because it seems to make it clear that this guy is not WTK. Although he does seem somehow connected to Jeep, and possibly works with WTK. It would seem he's giving credit to Maestra for having posted this message of several different boards, although she missed this one.


BTW, I have to give some props to this board. Reading that thread where these quotes came from, I noticed that they end up talking about anything and everything in the same enormous threads. The organization here is worlds better.
