Where's Pedro??

I don't think Pedro will be dressed in red and white stripes but if you find his little mumified and deformed body you could win $10,000.

Check this out:

Over the next several days and the upcoming months Bibleland Studios will be offering rewards for specific artifacts we feel either support a creation model or cause us to question evolution.

Our first candidate is Pedro The Mountain Mummy. Is he real? What is his deal? Found in 1932 lost in 1950 and he could be worth as much as $10,000 for his recovery. If you happen along on of Pedro's original x-rays it could be worth as much as $1,000 (We believe there are at least 5 in existence.) In the next few days when you click on the REWARD button you will find the whole sad story about poor Pedro and the terms and conditions for his recovery.

Crazy, yes, but the site seems serious. As an atheist I don't think mumified little Pedro will disprove evolution but it's still pretty interesting.

Heck, I'm a born-again Christian, and I don't see how this thing could disprove or prove anything... except creepiness... I'm a total believer in God and I find this site more than a bit disturbing. I mean, good intentioned, I'm sure, but more than a little off the rocker....

However, if I see a foot long dude, I'll be sure to turn him in to one of y'all for some portion of the cash. (I don't want to turn it in, cuz I don't want these people to know who I am... Rolling Eyes )

...she won't let those robots eat me...

Here's some more Pedro info:
Found in 1932 by Cecil Mayne while prospecting for gold near Pathfinder Reservoir.
Ended up as a display piece in Jones Drug Store in Meeteetse, Wyoming where it was bought by a Ivan Goodman.
Ivan took Pedro and used his poor little deformed body to attract visitors to his auto dealership.
Most of the above can be documented, but later news of Pedro is suspect.
It seems that after Ivan died in 1950, Pedro was passed to a "New Yorker Leonard Walder." Walder later moved to Florida and died in the 1980's. Poor little Pedro hasn't been seen since Walder took possession.

info culled from from:
http://www.casperstartribune.net/articles/2005/02/03/news/wyoming/3b6d4aad0120fde187256f9c00839d78.txt

Googling Walder gets nothing.
Googling Pedro gets a whole bunch of X-file type sites.
Googling Ivan Goodman pulls up a whole bunch of stuff some of which is about Pedro. Most interesting was an ancestory site which had this:
Quote:

Noted events in her life were:
• Moved to: FL, USA.

394 M    ii. Mark Ginsburg was born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
