[UPDATE] stophanso.rachelblake.com - Iceland Post 01 (Jun28)

Well, looks like you guys kept yourself busy while I was en route to Iceland - a couple of you had the most interesting conversation following yesterday's post. Check it out:
UdonPaul331: I think Rachel is correct about Vigi Benoffski. I am from his home city, Kolobrzeg, in Poland. He teaches at the local University, and I happened to find this memo in my professor's office:
http://benoffskimemo.blogspot.com
Roughly translated, this says Benoffski was to appear at a mathematics symposium in Perth, Australia... I checked the dates - they overlap with the SAME DATE he died in that fire in Iceland. How is that possible?
KemicalRXN654321: It's not. Benoffski must have been lying.
UdonPaul331: So, you think the memo was a cover? For what, though? I guess if you think about it... the letter was typed. Anybody could have written it.
KemicalRXN654321: I wouldn't say just anybody.
Rachel: Well, there you have it. I knew there was more to this.

You know, I really dig the immersive aspects of information popping up in the comments... I also like how Rachel "responds" to other bots in the comments.
The problem I have, though, is that they plow ahead and forget that they're one of a million other comments going through. I would have hoped that the PMs could have gone in and added "UdonPaul331: Why do you say that?" so that we know who is talking to who. Especially in this last exchange, when there were four minutes between messages. Luckily, nobody had posted, but it would just be nice if it looked like they were actually posting and not just bots off a script.

Running the entire thing through a translator resulted in the following. Keep in mind that it condensed all the spaces, but this includes the greeting, etc...
Quote:

Basically, if it can't translate a word, it simply doesn't.

Is it me or are those video files enormous?
I'm "surfin' the net" at 11 Mbps and my download is taking forever. I'm at 10% and it says the rest of the download will take 23 minutes! Yes, twenty three . Coincidence? I think so!
Anyway, It's just a video... right?
EDIT: Oh yeah, I get it... I'm not the only downloading this beast. Ha.

We need to get on message boards and get half the people downloading the video to stop. Then the other half repost the video someplace else, haha.

See what happens when she makes it so easy to find the video. Even the dialup version says it's going to take 30 minutes.
UPDATE someone at inside the experience posted a mirror, grab it while you can its fast http://www.levdesigns.net/Video/WEEK2POST3.wmv

I'll chuck it on youtube in... 17 minutes, 32 seconds. Unless someone else can do it first.

Working on an equation are they? I wonder which one it could be.
Also, what does he mean by "running the equation"? I don't get what he means by that.

Maybe he means trying to solve it- plugging in values and "running it" to get a solution that makes sense.

Here is a link to the in-game clue which showed us the symbols in question.
These links contain spoilers for season 2 ... even though the hierogylphics themselves have been mentioned in the game...

They are exactly the same as the one from the television show Lost. Analysis on those here .
