[SPEC] Read The Rules?

Question. Did any of you read the disclaimer/rules of play before clicking the "agree" box? If you did, then you will know that Volvo/sponsors are keeping track of the players and it is time stamped by the server hosting this particular game (not an individual's computer). It also states that anyone with a criminal record such as a DUI, theft , etc will not be elligible to win. There were more interesting things like the winner needing a passport, shots (if any) and best of all it sounds like you will be placed on an island with the other puzzle solvers from around the world to actually hunt on foot for the prize, and while searching if you cheat, hinder others, smoke, drink, take drugs, etc you will be instantly disqualified and sent home at YOUR expense. So, this game is not as simple as it seems and computer geeks will be out on a limb when they don't have their computer in the sand to help out. Brains all the way.

I'm just playing for something to do at work!

I can't drive
I don't have a valid passport at the moment
I'm not very good at digging
And I couln't be trusted not to smoke or drink

So, I think I lot of people like me are just doing this for the challenge and aren't that fussed about winning the car. Cool

good luck to you tho

Hi. Robbie, welcome to unfiction. You might be interested in this thread about rules, cheating and other references to the games Terms and Conditions
which, while now locked, contains references and discussions of the rules you point out.

Not sure exactly what you mean by this - but it is probably covered exhaustively in that thread as well.

One more point, don't underestimate the computer geeks who are playing this game - you can't psych them out if that is what you were attempting - and the computer geeks I know from this forum kickass with puzzle solving, code breaking and assorted skills using their heads without relying on computers. They will function quite expertly should they be lucky enough to be Finalists for the prize.

Good Luck !

Rose already pointed out the closed rules discussion thread. If you want to contribute to the discussion of the rules, please do that in the other rules discussion thread so that we can keep things tidy.

Furthermore, please use the Search function before posting, to see if your topic is not already being discussed.

Thanks!

Locky!
