 		Another thing - they took off that "Labyrinth progressing" scroller; so it was up there for what - a couple days?

It is still there for me...second thing on the scroller, right after the Employee of the Month notice.

I'm not sure when exactly it changed, but it used to say:

"NEWS FLASH

Metacortex is proud to announce the appointment of our new CEO....."

etc...

Just refreshed 3 times: for me, "Employee of the month" is followed by "MetaVRX in final test phase", then 4 more and back to "Employee..."

This whole time I couldn't get rid of the feeling that this "missing letters" business reminds me of something; finally remembered what:

There was "noise before the second event" (per MLO)... Avery appears to be missing... some anomaly. Now there is the weird phone call... the same website "freaks out"... appears to do it similarly... Beth is chasing an "event"... MLO has the date marked. The news items on metacortechs, though separated considerably, actually follow each other: Avery "goes" to Zurich (Jan. 4) -> Aquapolis is announced (Oct. 3) -> Avery retires (Jan. 5).

That's as far as I can go in my current.. uhh... state of conciousness. I don't actually think we can put these together/decipher them/gain a clue - both texts appear rather random, but still somehow tied together. However, if anyone wants to try, below is how it was arranged.

 		Ah, you get that little orange box too. I thought it was just my computer doing something strange. What is up with that? It's present when you decompile the normal Metacortex flash too. It has two little white boxes in it...does anyone have any idea what this is and why it doesn't show up when you actually view the compiled version? I attached a blown up copy.

Well, actually, that box is present in 8 out of 9 frames (only one frame - the one that was up, I assume - doesn't show it).

But, since you bring it up: I get all kinds of shapes - 69 altogether; 4 of them (# 32 - 35) are those "info" and "?" signs that look rather common; I figured they were just left in the library (perhaps somebody considered using them, but decided against - or maybe saved until later time). Mostly there are scrollers, etc. - nothing interesting. But there are a couple that look like login boxes (but for only one field, though).

The problem is - there has been, as far as I can tell, no "official ruling" on whether decompling flash is ok, so I don't know if we can even discuss these shapes, let alone upload them. Again, maybe the mods feel it necessary to remove this post. If it makes anybody feel safer - I am a total moron when it comes to code/scripts/programming etc... yeah, pretty much anything to do with computers... so even if there was something "out-of-bounds" in that flash, anyone concerned can be rest assured that I did not even see it, let alone understood what to do with it.

Then there is also stuff that looks like this:

 		Now to figure out if it means anything or not.. If someone wants to repeat the work and make sure I didnt make an errors cutting and pasting, etc..
Also I didn't place my 'answers' in any particular format..

I may have (likely did) merged chunks of it to make sentences that made sense to me.. :)

So either we are looking for whats missing, or whats there, or neither.. At least we know which text was garbled..

this is the "along with bringing the 6 billion inhabitants of our small planet together" bit, except the T ' is from the next line down "That's Metacortex"....erm "w ," I dont know about that.

But yeah...I dont think any of this matters though, it could do...but to me, I just think they were showing that it had messed up, and randomly took away letters.
