Plate FYI we are talking about Longitude and Latitude,
Longitude is North and South
Latitude is East and West.
So the oppisite of N would be S and not E.

I have to give you props for thinking of different possibilities and not blindly accepting something on face value.

Actually I'm very familiar with Lat. And Long. but when it comes to the plate, it' not a question of opposites. It's a question of all directions being presented on the image. All are there except the "E" which was the letter shot in order to break the plate.

how? Some people are referring to _ _ 55N771_ _ as the final numbers. I understand where you get the numbers, but how are you fitting them into an order... and where are the blanks coming from?

random number on St. Helena Look to the left of the ladder, you will see a skull in the rock face and the numbers 1413 writtenon the forehead. It shows in every climb up too.
To answer your question, the order of the numbers may be the numbers found on the islands in order.

i dont think whatever has been shot off the plate works, because of the latest letter to be seen, clearly, it cant be an E that we need. we must use the N

Big W in Cozumel If the big W in the cozumel puzzle is not used to solve for the coordinates then that should be the last extra. This is what I have so far.
Port Royal None known
Sargasso Sea One Bottle?
Bermuda 5 on plate
Medeira 5 scratched beside door
Tropic of Cancer N on center of plate
Saint Helena 7 top of ladder
Isle the Saint Mary 7 on dead tree
Pulau Jong 1 kanji
Diomede None Known
Isla Mas a Tierras None Known
Cape Horn None Known
Cozumel W
That's all I have, need help with the rest

For those of you who have seen the movie, the plate is from the part where jack is trying to get away from the headhunters, when he goes into the hut and gets the paprica there is a wooden case of the plates there. They all have the seal for the east india trading co. that is prob. what the letters in the center of the plates are for?

Possible 7 If you go back to Bermuda and scan all the way to the left and look at the palm tree trunks the two trees make a 7.

These clues place the location eerily close to Port Royal.

Don't rule out Diomede. It looks like there are unused numbers across the bottom of the star map. 1 1 2 ?
