On the podcast page at djdan.am, notice the sublymonal banner at the top of the page. Click on this banner and start typing. Whatever you type into the banner, you get the word "Pyramids".

Click on the pyramid image at the bottom of the page to go to today's podcast.

 		Hmm, Karma Imperative = Dharma Initiative? Island in the South Pacific with a name like "the flame" or "the fire". Could this actually be a clue from DJ Dan?

 		Well The University of Michigan is where the Dharma Initiative started so it sounds like the DeGroots recruited people from the school to go to the island with them.

Season 2 Spoiler (specifically episode 2x17):
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
One of the hatches shown on the map of the island is the called "The Flame".

Perhaps that is where granny was supposed to work. Maybe "the flame" or "the fire" is not a reference to the name of an island.



(added episode number to spoiler; remember, just saying something is in Season Two doesn't help people to decide whether or not it's safe to read your hidden text, as people are at different points in viewing the season -- catherwood)

My guess: it's not "fire," it's "burn." As in "Birnie Island."

Google Earth gives me these coords:
3 deg 35 min 16 sec S
171 deg 30 min 49 sec W

It's equatorial, and wasn't Rachel looking for an island near the equator? I haven't found a picture that looks like the one Mittelwerk dropped when Rachel bumped into him, but it's still my guess.

 		The caller said his grandmother when to a place in the south pacific called something similar to "the flame". To me this is quite familiar to "the swan", as in the Dharma station discovered by some of the characters of Lost in the beginning of season two.

[SPEC] "The Flame" or "The Fire" is another station on the Island. [/SPEC]

Edit: 'To', 'two' and 'too'.

Just by the way, this spoiler is for Episode 17, Lockdown. So if you haven't seen it, then that's a heck of a spoiler. If you have seen that episode and still don't get it, it's...

 		If the caller's hazy recollection of the "Karma imperitive" is not really the DHARMA Initiative then I will be extremely surprised.
I'm all for alternate theories but I think I can safely say without a doubt that he was referring to DHARMA.
