[EMAIL] Dale July 6 - Asking for our Phone#s

Just got this email from Dale:

Quote:
Hi Sandra,

Thanks for writing to me, and for the kind words about J. D. Willingham. My
recent visit was disturbing to be sure, but I can't help feeling that he's a
part of everything that is going on. I feel so sorry for the postion he is in
and realize, quite frankly, that it could be me instead of him, with
just a few
small changes to circumstances in recent months.

Like you said though, I am trying to take the initiative and figure out
what is
going on, primarily because I have this terribly ominous feeling that time is
running out. Not just for me, either. I'm convinced now that the common thread
involves the masks that Sarah Wyatt made, which later disappeared from the
Aglaura Library. I can't explain exactly how, but I'm positive they are
the key
to figuring out just exactly what's going on around here, both with me and
everyone else.

Here is a "private" journal entry I made just a little while ago,
earlier today
about the masks and why I feel the way I do. I don't mind sharing it with you,
since it's probably not the craziest thing you've either heard me say
or write.

http://www.thewishcomic.com/journal/070606.html

Do I have a phone number for you? It would be great if you could send
me one, as
I have a feeling I may have to ask for help from some of my online
friends very
soon.

I don't know the Dunns at all. What's happened to them is terrible though and
reminds me of how much that damn amusement park is a part of all this, too.

Again, thanks for writing me. I hope to hear from you soon.

Dale

I did want to thank you personally though for your help with the whole "Save the
Library" effort. You and everyone else really made a difference for all of us
here in Aglaura.

I'll talk to you soon.

Dale

mine thanked me for starting the petition. heh. Of course, he has my phone number {again}.

my response:

Dale,

Oh, I have been so worried. It is good to hear from you, with all the missing people and deaths in your town, I just didn't know what to think. OF course, you can have my number - {{edited for my sanity}}.

Does anyone know yet who might have been the citizen who called in singing at the council meeting? I was confused as to why a towns person would call in rather than be there to vote. Oh well, We seem to have done the trick, eh!?

I wanted to ask you something, and it goes hand in hand with your thinking that Sarah's masks might be a part of what is going on - Have you spoke with Sarah about the dreams you have been having? I seem to remember her mentioning having bad dreams for a while there, too, and they reminded me of yours a bit.

OH, one last thing, and I almost hesitate in asking, but... Do you have a personal contact email address or phone number for Bruce that is not through Marzent or that Diana might get into? It is very important to me to speak to him.

Please get back to me REAL soon,
Taryn
PS: feel better

I just sent my number off. Only thing that makes me nervous about this is if he calls me in the middle of the night because of the time difference, lmao. Don't think I'd be very popular in my house if that was the case...

Hi Carol,

Here's my reply
Quote:
Hi Dale,

I caught your journal entry last night & this am. I was online with Mountain Girl (Jessica) when she was on the phone with you.

As you already know, according to your journal entry, we figured out the trail to get to a webpage on www.mystes.com/simon.html that strangely, looks really similar to Sarah's Mask of Knowledge.

Speaking of Sarah, you really should talk to her - she is worried about you. So much so that she even mentions your visit to the library in her blog www.sixthofnever.com She said that you were looking pale & talking about breaking through the walls or something like that - you were probably thinking out loud & didn't realize it - I know I do that.

As far as contacting me, my cell # is xxx-xxx-xxxx - the best way to get me as it's always nearby Smile

This weekend - you can call me if you need to, but I will be out camping - not too far from an internet connection if necessary, but not immediately accessible. Monday and anytime after I will be available.

Before I close this, did you hear from a guy named Peter? He's coming out to Aglaura & was looking to find a place to stay - hotel, bed & breakfast type thing & your name came up as a good contact for him. If you have, try to talk to him when he gets there - he's had some guy sending him strange emails that may or may not have a link to Sarah's missing masks.

Hope you have dreamless sleep!

Carol

Got one, too:

Mountain Girl!

How are you? I smiled when I saw an email from you, after speaking to
you last
night on the phone. Even though it was late, it was cool, and I enjoyed
talking
to you, as brief as it was.

The council meeting was crazy, wasn't it? The person who sang the
"Aglaura" song
was a call-in participant, who introduced herself as an Aglaura
resident I
believe, but I have no idea who she was. I thoroughly enjoyed her
performance,
however, especially the part where Diana turned so bright red with
anger.
Unfortunately, you couldn't see that, but take my word for it,
priceless.

I'm convinced now that the common thread involves the masks that Sarah
Wyatt
made, which later disappeared from the Aglaura Library. I can't explain
exactly
how, but I'm positive they are the key to figuring out just exactly

Thanks for writing and calling me. I hope to hear from you soon.

Dale,
I'm worried your repeated dreaming about the fire may be a preminition.
With the defeat of the bill to tear down the library, it is possible
that Don Marzano could resort to alternative methods to reach his
ultimate goal, the library's physical destruction. I'm not sure if he
wants to destroy whatever the walls of the old building might be
hiding, or release something that may be inside the walls, or just
acheive access to something in the ground beneath the building. But
he must have had some reason to come up with that digitization plan
just so he could bulldoze a historical building that was only recently
remodeled.
Please warn Sarah. I don't know if the local law enforcement will
take you seriously but maybe you, Sam & Sarah can come up with some
reason to get them to patrol a little more often around the area. You
should seriously consider moving some of the more valuable items out
of the building. And do not let anyone be in there alone at night!!!!
Stay safe!
Heather

Thanks for writing to me with your concerns and thoughts. My dreams of
fire and destruction have been worrying me too, and I'm also certain they are trying to tell me something.

You mentioned the walls of the library and I agree that they are somehow
involved, at least from what I can tell from the crazy riddles and poems that are popping up everywhere. But I have a plan for dealing with this matter; stand by for an update on that as soon as I can tell you.

Thanks for writing. Do I have a phone number for you?

I replied tonight:

Heather wrote:
Hi Dale,
Are you getting enough to eat - sometimes when people get really busy,
distracted, worried, and bonked on the head with loss of memory, they
forget to eat.

Speaking of eating, have you been back to the diner lately? A few
weeks ago you and Meaghan were there and you noted she was talking to
an older man. That happened to have been Keith, a nurse out out
Greatwater General. I know I sent you that information and pointed
you towards his webpostings about the 3-0-7 mark. The reason I'm
bringing this up is that Keith appears to have disappeared after going
into the Pine Barrens with a drug store video camera. He was suppose
to post the video, and he also asked for mail addresses (as if he was
going to send us the video or maybe something else he found). That was
the day after the big power outage. The last time any of us heard
from him.

People are disappearing from Aglaura - have you or Sam heard anything
more about that? Please be careful, whatever you are planning. There
are some powerful and ancient forces that may have their war
escalating.

In case you need to reach me (I'm out on the west side of the US),
it's xxx-xxx-xxxx.

Heather

I received mostly the same email, but Dale asked me if I finally received the comic Very Happy
