[EMAIL/MEET] Keith July 6&10, "Hidden" Message

Quote:
Roxanne,

Thanks for giving me your address. It's a sign of blind trust that I really appreciate. Especially under the circumstances I find myself in.

I've picked out a few people from the great many who emailed me their address, and sent them packages containing something I think everyone needs to see. I'm not going to name any names or point anyone out here, in case these emails are ever read or anything. I don't want to put anyone at risk or take any unnecessary ones myself. The people I've randomly selected should be getting them soon, though.

In the meantime though, I've also hidden some information on my website you might want to see. It isn't meant for just anyone though, so you won't find it without looking. In fact, I've already told you where to look. Excuse my paranoia but it's justified, I assure you. Like an old friend said, "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you."

I'm trusting you to keep this between us, along with whatever you find on my site or receive in the mail.

Keith

Shhh don't tell him I posted it..... Wink

interesting bit from the hidden entry:
Quote:
I'm standing somewhere that was the center of power, but for just one day. It is an ancient rose but it still thrives today. On the 4th of July I stood before men who had worn their uniforms for exactly 132 years. There are two castles here, one the home of those who have lost their freedom, and the other beside a Dragon's Lair. I will be waiting there, just outside the second castle's walls which separate fantasy from reality, at 12 noon on Sunday the 9th. Can you help me?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The city is Lancaster, PA. (info from here: http://www.padutch.com/lanccity.shtml)

- Lancaster was our nation's capital for one day when the Continental Congress met here in September 1777.
- Lancaster was named after Lancashire, England, and its symbol is the red rose
- The Soldiers And Sailors Monument in the middle of the square was dedicated on July 4, 1874 to honor the county's soldiers who had served the armed forces.
- Even the Lancaster County Prison is unique. It was built in the 1850's, and supposedly resembles the castle at Lancashire, England.

trying to figure out the second "castle" he's talking about...

/me googled Lancaster PA, Dragon, Castle and found the Amusement Park. Duke the Dragon is a character and the attraction "Dragon's Lair" is next to the Castle Cafe. The "Castle" is the main entrance to the park.

good job by everyone in #ctw (dashcat, drizjr, enaxor, goldranger, konamouse, pixie). Here is the summary:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the "Dragon's Lair" is a ride in Dutch Wonderland (www.dutchwonderland.com) in Lancaster, PA. the castle beside it would be the Castle Cafe (see map here: http://www.dutchwonderland.com/map_interactive.html)

#ctw is thinking that:
Quote:
just outside the second castle's walls which separate fantasy from reality

means Keith will be waiting outside the wall separating the Castle Cafe from the parking lot/front entrance (the park = fantasy, the parking lot/entrance = reality)

the first prediction as to what will happen at the meet: <goldranger> hahahaha my prediction: whoever goes is getting a new roommate Smile

Brian {aka The_Fiancee}, our brand new baby pug dog, and I will be there, provided i don't get scheduled to work {i will find out tomorrow today by 6 pm}

He can come home with us... but he will be a heck of a lot closer to aglaura if he does than i think he wants to be.

My prediction is i will be getting some of the "bigger" clues because as he said:
Quote:
I only sent packages to a few different people, and only the smaller things, 'cause frankly, shipping shit is expensive and I don't know where the next paycheck is coming from right now.

I bolded for my own emphasis.

Great Work!

Good luck with the meet Pixie. It'd be awesome to get even a little something. Since he's the main suspect in the missing mask case, think we'll be getting pieces of those?

Ah well. I'm sending him a reply saying as much and that I'd be willing to help in any other way I can.
