Just considered something.
A while ago, there was that paintover post with the double-binaried number pairs. I just saw the numbers along the left collumn, the ones with the decimals and such. It was suggested that the number pairs before were coordinates.
Could we be reading these logged decimals wrong?
Are they 3-D coordinates?

-Thank you, "Mission to Mars", for spoiling me against all three number groups....

How about this (seems all I'm doing today is theorising... how bland...).

We have a group of hackers. We know each of them to have at least one, sometimes more servers which they are logging... all except graffle, which still puzzles me.

We also have a (thus far still growing) bunch of USH sites... and we know that USH is in an exclusive agreement with Metacortex. On a tangent, I think it's safe to say that we know that these sever spikes are now unrelated to whatever creepiness is going down in Greece at the Aquapolis (which, in reality I am assured is a giant waterslide park).

Is it possible that our hackers are USH sysadmins, possibly a little sensitive about the nature of their exclusive deal with the 'Cortex? Keeping an eye on what Metacortex is doing to their bandwidth perhaps? If so, I guess why the secrecy... I'm just postulating at this stage, trying to establish a link.

I do get the feeling that the unjust server logs are for USH servers. What I don't understand is how our raggedy band of hackers came about, what made ceasar the leader and why scratch is so... full of angst...

Hmm. I was just looking at unjust2.mic again (swf) and I just realized (even though I noticed it before but thought nothing of it) that there is a makeup case with a mirror, and you can see a [spec] female hand in the reflection. Is Scratch a girl?

to follow up on yeahyeah's post:

Here's a theory. Scratch is Dina. Who is actually "sheismissing.info" (avery's ex?). She has apparently been brainwashed by wongmo (along with heismissing.info aka ethan (aka avery?)), but something has gone wrong and she remembers her past.

Unfortunately she's living in fear of being discovered by whoever is monitoring her, meaning she's only giving out hints (thinking of her blog here). Or maybe she doesn't remember her real past, and is posing as Scratch merely to find out.

This would connect quite a few of the sites in the game, and hopefully make a tiny bit of sense.

The only other alternative to Dina would be Beth, but she does seem too naive afterall. Katgirl is not even in the picture as she seems more interested in her career.

Sensible or not?

It looks like a SmartMedia flash card to me...

[edit] The gold plated contacts are very reflective, and can act like a mirror... I don't see a girls hand, it looks like a reflection of whatever is right above it - that cup or can or whatever it is [/edit]

There shouldn't be any debate... That is DEFINITELY a SmartMedia card. I have quite a few for my digital camera.

Comparison - this might end the deabe. While it could be a makeup case with a mirror, it would be an uncanny resemblance.

[edit] image from the flash movie is on the right, skewed and resized. [/edit]

That's not the point Very Happy

We have to discuss this stuff and make our observations. Don't be ashamed to be wrong! I've said some speculative things already, and I'm sure a lot of it is just plain wrong. Discussion leads to discovery, so keep speculating!!!

:) Sorry for the extra unneeded harsh comment, in the matter of a minute I found 2 stiff (from how I read them) corrections from maurauder in different threads (one was a mistake, I pasted the wrong url), and I managed to get my panties in a bunch.. Please disregard anything I stated not related directly to the game..

Sorry, I guess I did come off as a bit harsh... anyways as far as the comparison, I think the original (angle) shot better shows the difference. The wave on the gold part is evident when viewed at that angle. You can also better see the reflection off of the circle where the write-protect sticker goes, and the box where the ID *size* goes...

Well, Ok, now that we've established it's probably a SmartMedia card, could there be any significance to that?

So far, we can positively identify:

A SmartMedia flash memory card
A glass of ice
A couple of CDs

Anything else?

I read that somewher else as well, that Scratch is a girl. Just to clear things up,

Quote:
if i could grab my nuts and sing falsetto
(silvia.mic)

Quote:
Ah, Scratch, the lean and hungry look...
(unjust3.jpg)

This quote is about Cassius, definitely a male; Texel responds
Quote:
NOBLE and well-given

That's also about Cassius

My point is - no way is Scratch a girl. But, I just remembered - did we ever decide anything on why "NOBLE" is all caps?
