It's okay.
If you search and can't find it, that's when it's okay to ask.
Also, just FYI for people who want to point out that something has already been discussed, Unfiction policy, I believe, is that when trouting, you also provide a link to the information.

All the old pirate says when I go is "Ah!" which doesn't give me a lot to go on. Am I missing something?

Yes, you are missing something. Remember the date on the wine bottle buried in Bermuda? It corresponds to the date on a cask that you should "investigate".

The answers you seek (both some hints, an explanation and the final answer itself) are over here in the uber-long starting thread for the game. The gist is that you indeed need to distill the right coordinates from the "song"/rhyme the pirate performs..
Please take a moment to read through our posting guidelines before posting next, as you might want to know about tagging your topic correctly, and also trying to name your topic so it reflects it's content (so "Madeira barrel puzzle" rather than "PotC game").
Locking.

[QUESTION] How do I collect the pottery @ Tropic of Cancer? I am in the Tropic of Cancer. I have the piece of pottery on the screen. I can move it around the screen, but I cannot figure out how to collect it. I double-click and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Help!
EDIT: Retopicked. --Phaedra

you want to collect all of the pieces of pottery and assemble them to reveal the coordinates.

Pottery Thank you for replying. I am aware that I need to collect the pieces. My question is actually "how" to do it. Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't figure it out. I click, double-click, drag and I get nowhere. How do you physically collect the pieces. Please advise.

You need to move from screen to screen looking for the shards of the plate. When you find one, click on it and it will take you to a wooden plank with all the pieces you've found so far. Once you collect all the pieces, simply arrange them in order to get the coordinates for the next island.
