Think the Spanish one was a lot easier. Count the number of straight lines in the digits. Notice the two different '5s'.

That was the likely UK solution. Has anyone solved the Japan puzzle? Was it the same numeric sequence? I would think each puzzle has a separate answer or it would be unfair to us in the US with this beastly cryptic lid when someone can solve one of the other puzzles and enter that in the US site.

The solution to the US puzzle has got to have a straightforward explanation. One that when revealed will cause us to say, "Ahhh, you're right!" If the answer is not like this, then to hell with this whole thing. But I have yet to see any reasonable solution so unless those boys in the NSA are keeping their lips shut, I could imagine its still up for grabs.

I don't know if anybody really found the solution.
But I am concerned by several things:

1) nobody used the code "ssssssst".
2) nobody used the names of the 7 Seas neither "Tempest".
3) in the box (the US one), in the first column, a piece is missing to fill the square completely while this is not the case for the others 7 columns.

What do you think?

By the way the UK one, the key could have been down rather than along therefore the answer would be 36398809 which has a nicer ring to it, because it is a possible lat long.

I tried both to be sure , my friend did one, i did the other. What time did people write them in it would be nice to know if I was outside the timebox. I wrote it in at 7:58.

Also in the Uk one, one of the boxes had a bit missing, but it was the 3rd column.

I'm a lot less worried after seeing your picture because our 4th column is your 1st column, which leads me back to my belief it was a mistake/hard to see in the print.
