Puzzle not yet solved

Just to let you know, I have not yet seen the correct answer on this forum. The three may not be chosen yet. Plus, remember, they must have a valid, stamped map from a Volvo dealership, have registered in the game before July 11th, have a valid passport and correctly solve the sequencing. I will be glad to share the answer with someone willing to share the car with me, trade each year - you get it the first I have it the second. My first try was hasty and I have since figured the whole thing out.

If you meet the requirements above, were pretty good at the game and are pretty good with a shovel let me know through private message. Time may be of the essence.

Follow-up

I've contacted Volvo to suggest that they give us some background on The Hunt when it's all over. Locations of the scenes, minds behind the puzzles, keeping it all secret etc. I for one would be fascinated to see a 'the making of'. I've had a reply saying it's a good idea and it'll be passed on.

Incidentally maybe I was reading far too much into it, but there seemed to be connections with Shakespeare's The Tempest (which in turn is linked to the film Serenity). I ended up thinking it all goes to a far deeper level, but in the end I couldn't make it fit together. The play is about a shipwreck, a Caribbean island, and several 'souls' appear throughout the play. There were also other things like 'Cancer's calms' which links to the Calms of Cancer, which in turn links to 'horse latitudes,' related to restless horses... Maybe it was all to confuse the issue though... or maybe we were just skimming the surface?

I think that was indicating that you 'thought' you'd solved the puzzles - but you needed to go back again (to get the next coords).

I think you are right on track with the "Tempest" thing. The clues also had Bermuda (thought to be Prothero's magical island), the hound, etc. Lot's of references there imo.

What is Serenity?

Personally I believe that Serenity is the Volvo...nothing more

As for the final solution. I dont believe the one here with all the row etc is correct. I feel that its simply to easy. However having said that i've not found a better solution yet. I have something in mind, but its a bit questionable atm.

The Clue doesnt seem to come into play with the solution everyone seems to be talking about.

So outside the box I go....

A cursed isle in a cursed sea (Bermuda and the Devil's Sea)??

holds the cursed key to serenity, (the key to the location of the volvo)

hold the haunting stop my mind, from wanting believing I will find,
serenity, tell me... (not sorted this bit out yet).

BTW, i've already submitted my answer, but i think that was wrong Sad

i'm convinced the answer is still out there. filling up boxes using the shapes and then ordering from there is tempting, but i that missing triangle in the first column just doesn't seem right. so far we haven't seen any errors in any of the clues or solutions, and my guess would be that they spent far more time on this final puzzle than they did on any previous. i also think that the answer must include serenity, and not in an arbitrary method. seeing as how you don't have the chance to enter in a couple of arbitrary methods (first doing the boxes in columns, then in rows. first counting strokes then junctions . . .), i'd think (hope) that the answer is a thing of total clarity once solved. that said, i'm still mulling over all of it and will only submit an answer if/when i have one that it a sort of "eureka!" moment.

also, regarding ssssssst, seven seas, and tempest, i don't see how that has any bearing on this puzzle. wasn't that all just to get us to somewhere? i can't remember a previous time when a fragment from the previous clue was used in a subsequent one (the cumulative coordinates notwithstanding).

what a great time this riddle has been! truly quality in conception and execution.

[DISCUSSION] End Game (Part 2)

Oh, contraire Mon Frare, almost every keyword that was used to get into the place was used to solve the puzzle. COUNT was used on the ladder, REMAINS was used when you had to find items left behind by humans to get the coordinates, SERPENTKRAKEN is a scandanavian word for lightening, LENGTHS was used as the clue for morse code (short or long). So don't count out the clues. Also, be careful not to read too much into the game. Shakespeare may have been an inspiration for the game but I don't believe his writings will solve this puzzle. You can still get the answer if you want. PM me and we can share the car (having the car for a year at a time is better than no car at all I always say) or we can sell the car and split the dough. Not much time left... people will figure it out soon (if not already). I will give you the answer and a ah ha moment when I give the explaination.
