I never did like that Beatnik guy. There was always something fishy about him.

Mittelwerk video transcription

complete transcription of the video, both text on screen and spoken:
Quote:
The President's Precedent

Communication is a company's life blood.

The President's Precedent

Communication is life blood of any company
working to better mankind.

Thomas Mittelwerk
President & Chief Technologist
The Hanso Foundation

In his role as President & Chief Technologist of
The Hanso Foundation, Mr. Mittelwerk's leadership
has ensured prodigious contributions to numerous
scientific disciplines, all in the name of insuring a
better future for the whole of humanity.

(Mittelwerk on camera, speaking)

Business lives and dies on communication. And when your business is extending lives, improving health, advancing technology, to mend an injured planet, communication can literally mean the difference between life and death.

As President and Chief Technologist at The Hanso Foundation, it is my job to make sure that the beneficial work of this multi-lingual, multi-national, multi-disciplinary organization reaches every one of the good people we are trying to help.

The Hanso Foundation isn't just about the cutting edge of science, it's about bringing people together, from prize-winning scientists to villagers of the developing world, under the banner of better living thru innovation.

Without broadband, we would be completely in the dark. Our ability to communicate relies on real-time video conferencing, uploading and downloading vast quantities of information, and the lightning-fast transmission of email around the world and back.

A lot of people called the medical, educational, and scientific advances made by The Hanso Foundation a godsend. And they are right. But, if you ask me, it is the godsend of broadband that truly allows us to reach out to a better tomorrow, and do what we must.

Color me impressed Catherwood, that's a mighty fast turnaround on the transcript. I award you a +1 dexterity bonus that lasts 2d6 turns while you complete the transcipt.

If Mittelwerk is supposed to be playing sea captain on the Helgus Antonius, how is it that he can record an advert in the Hanso Foundation office, and a promo for broadband company in a big white room?

it was probably an already existing commercial, it doesnt mention anything that has happened recently, just an overview of how they use broadband. Besides, it would be easy enough to paint a room inside the ship white and film and stream it using said broadband.

Why do people think TM is on the ship? I thought Rachel said he drove to the airport. Or did she say Hugh McIntyre drove to the airport?

Even if TM is or was on the ship, the commercials could be pre-recorded. Notice, BTW, how "life blood" is twice mentioned in the Broadband Stoies ad. TM had all his blood exchanged and one of the Rot words was BLOOD - Blood, Money + Sorrow. Maybe blood is important to TM in some way? Maybe he has a blood disease of some kind?

I don't know if it's an In-Game clue or not, but I was watching last week's "Kyle XY" and noticed that when one of the characters looked at a newspaper article about a murder that Kyle may have witnessed, the article right next to it had "Blood Disease" as the last two words in it's title. From what I've seen of TV shows and movies, details like this are never insignificant. "Kyle XY" is another ABC show. Would it be unconcivable that they'd hide a "Lost Experience" clue on it?

Probably they did not hide a TLE clue in "Kyle XY" – they would more likely hide one in Jimmy Kimmel, a show that is watched by a wide late-night audience, with advance warning that a clue will be uttered (i.e. the Hugh interview way back when).

That aside, it IS plausible that TM has a blood disease or abnormality and therefore needs his blood replaced. A blood transfusion can be conducted if the person is dangerously low on iron, or..... perhaps if they have weird blood like Alvar.

If you will recall the doctor's letter to Alvar, he/she (can't remember their name) mentioned Alvar's huge reluctance to ever undergo a blood test, and ultimately that the doctor took the blood without his permission and noticed a fatal abnormality. It's conceivable that TM had to hide the fact that he is using Life Extension (aka Joop Juice) himself. Smile

Perhaps Joop Juice tastes like Pine Trees.....

Would this be a bad time to point out that DSLerator told me about a spy on June 20?
Quote:
Matt the Pale [8:12 P.M.]: Hey... do you have Yahoo? My group would love to chat and work with you on what you're doing re: THF. We've got all sorts of people with different skills who could help, and one of us even works at Verizon.
dslerator [8:13 P.M.]: my team would think I'm cheating on them and throw my clothes on the lawn
Matt the Pale [8:15 P.M.]: Well, they're invited to come along too. The more people that are working together, the stronger we'll be against THF.
dslerator [8:16 P.M.]: but then you'd have your own Aldrich Ames
Matt the Pale [8:20 P.M.]: I understand... I hope we can avoid that. Well, then... if you'd like to help us out in some small way, me and my team are mainly concerned with THF and their stronghold on the Valenzetti Equation... we set up a blog to rally support for our cause... I'll give it to you. http://findvalenzetti.blogspot.com
I just want you to know we support what you're doing, and we're with you every step of the way.
dslerator [8:21 P.M.]: thanks for the nod... I really appreciate it and you guys
dslerator [8:21 P.M.]: thanks
Matt the Pale [8:22 P.M.]: See you later.
dslerator [8:22 P.M.]: seeya
