Here's a theory I thought up:

Could it be possible that the sniper could have been the 'angelobeckett' we've been talking to all along? He might have killed the real angelobeckett, and gotten paid 20,000 for it, and just be using the dead man's e-mail address. But if this was true, why is Lucien in the middle of all of it, and why would the sniper have amnesia?

Just a little something a bored mind thought up. Rolling Eyes

Edit: Oh, btw, could the initials B.A.B on the paper be....Barry Angelo Beckett?!

Edit 2: I just had a convo with our 'angelobeckett' and all he had to say about the matter is. "Probably, I wouldn't be surprised." then he said he had to go.

hey everyone! -- this looks interesting...(please don't die like every other game i've jumped onto in the last 6 months) i've been lurking a bit and i'm wondering if in fact the real a.b. was killed by the sniper and this person we are dealing with just thinks they are a.b. -- i'm going to go back and reread this thread again -- a.b. knows nothing but his name -- right? -- why is he so sure that that is his name.

exactly -- i don't think this puppy is dying at all!!
a.b. (or whoever is using a.b.'s email account) is still communicating with us -- someone is dead (but not the game) -- the sniper victim could be the real a.b. and our email friend still needs to be identified or could be that the sniper thinks they killed a.b. but they are mistaken.... if anyone speaks with a.b. perhaps we should advise him to be careful and lay low --

anyone else working on the idea that the puzzle answers might come together to give us something too? we've got "her majesty's theatre" "sears tower" and "winston churchill"...

This is an interesting turn of events. While it's strange that Angelo or whoever he is isn't expressing much over IM, don't forget he has amnesia, so I'm not sure what we should expect him to say. I also think that it's possible that Lucian mentioned Barry's assassination not to throw us off, but to clue us into the fact that the man we're IMing isn't Barry Angelo Beckett. Either way, it wouldn't make sense that our man is the sniper: if he had amnesia for the past couple of days, how would he remember to do that today at 2pm? And he didn't say he had a gun, only the 20,000 pounds and a peice of paper.

My theory(ies): Our man wasn't the sniper, but perhaps an assistant. That would explain the money and the lack of a gun. Perhaps our man worked for Lucian as an informant. The other theory I have is that Beckett was the one who gave our man the bag with the money. Maybe Beckett knew he was being hunted, and our man was either going to try to prevent the assassination, or Beckett was given the money to try and find the hunter. Perhaps Lucian is the one who ordered the assassination...

That's just speculation, though. I'd hate to see this die so quickly.

EDIT: The more I think about it, the more I really think that Beckett was the one who gave our man the bag. It would make sense: he fills the bag with money, jots down his own email address and password, and the email of the person who he contacted, and B.A.B., maybe as his signature.

It's possible that either A. Angelo was running from the law, so he handed his stuff off to our friend, then was killed by police or other criminals later one (bank robbery? We should ask Angelo to check the news paper and obituaries next time we talk to him) or B. Angelo was running from criminals, and they got him later on
