Woods Walker sends Peter [edit] a hint?

New email from walkerofthewoods to Peter July 16th.

Quote:
July 16th: "Walker" is either getting impatient or teasing me for being so stupid in solving these things. He's sent me another.

• Woods Walker <walkerofthewoods@gmail.com> to peter
Falling behind?

READ

Beware those who would lead astray
Each has traps along its way
Time can change the truth at times
When memory escapes our minds

Everywhere and
Every time
Nothing fails the Grand Design

Tomorrow, now, and yesterday
Here and there we find our way

Enter now the unknown place
Loss can wear a pretty face
If nothing else you take away
Never doubt the price you'll pay.

Everywhere and every time,
Still we trace the Grand Design.

Gah!
First letter of each line is BETWEEN THE LINES
At first I thought this was the solve, but after talking to enaxor in chat, I realized I was wrong. Smile
It's most likely a hint as to how to solve the previous email from walkerofthewoods.
Grand Design might be that that email looks like a path.
I've been trying to plot two sets of "footprints" along the path because WotW says "walk with me".

It sounds like time is relevant.

That and the fact that 7:03 is 307 backwards...

I think the 7:03 is important.

So, read between the lines....
Should we take the 7h line, then the third, then the 7h again and so on?
Code:

L7  - L N G J Q X W
L10 - K P R I O T E
L17 - Q N T N W S H
L20 - O W F M J Z J
L27 - H O A X N W N
L30 - L N C R U I G
L37 - K F D I E K E
L40 - N C I N C I S
L43 - X S S M M F U

clue: "If nothing else you take away "
how about subtracting one horizontal line from the other? two ways to do this, 1) convert to numbers, subtract and get a new letter 2) mid point letter (i.e. "between" the two lines)... edits: For T-Y there is no midpoint!

T D E S W X A
Y I S M N O Q

T-Y D-I E-S S-M W-N X-O A-Q
5=E?

im not that good with numbers, but its an idea

I've already thought of the mid point letter, but there are several pairs that do not have mid point Rolling Eyes I'll try the substraction later

ok, I've tried with the two first pairs of lines:

T D E S W X A = 20 4 5 19 23 24 1
Y I S M N O Q = 25 9 18 13 14 15 17
Substracting (removing minus signs): 5 5 13 6 9 9 16 = E E M F I I P

F J H U B V O = 6 10 8 21 2 22 15
R N T K P Q A =18 14 20 11 16 17 1

Substracting: 12 4 12 10 14 5 14 = L D L J N E N
Code:
E E M F I I P
L D L J N E N

It does not seem to make any sense either horizontally or vertically Rolling Eyes

Maybe we should get Peter to go on Iris's "Devil Hunt".

Iris seems a bit inept with computers and maybe a stereotype thing but I doubt she has the skills to come up with these puzzles Wink
