[UPDATE][PUZZLE] There will be sleeping enough in the grave New post in the And Now For Something Completely Different subforum of the Hang Separately forums:

I hope last week's puzzle was reasonably painless for you. You certainly kept your heads admirably. It reminded me a bit of an old word game called the Queen's Game, so I thought this week I'd try a real queen's game.
Lost in the forest, the queen has no NEWS and little use for her mask. Do you?

Yes, it's a link.
A broken one.

What? I apologize if I formatted it incorrectly, but in my browser it links to: http://www.hangseparately.com/lyn/lostintheforest.gif

That is indeed where it links.
All I'm seeing, though, is a big frame with an X in the corner, and refreshing doesn't help.
(Perhaps, instead of bad link, I should say "the picture may be corrupted". My apologies.)

That's odd... it worked fine for me...
Well for those that can see it, there are a bunch of letters scattered around... I'm working on highlighting them...

Got it to work...but I had to do a right click and save.
...letters yes. Also, a picture the size of a car door at 1024x768. I'll manage, though.
EDIT: Ah - Windows Picture Viewer > Microsoft Paint. Now I can zoom out. Away we go.

Ok, so from what I can gather from the image, we've got the queen holding a map to the image (the black sign she's holding). The top right corner of that sign has a dot with an "N" next to it. That corresponds nicely to the BIG IMAGE's upper right hand corner, where you'll also find an N.
Each dot on the black square must go to a correct letter in the solution - we just have to match the map dots up with the maze of doodlie bits.
At least, that's my interpretation of the situation.

Anyone with image software want to do us all a favor and copy-paste that "mask" to a new picture file so we can match the two up?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's HIGH HAT.
Method: The black square is a mask. Cut it, rotate 45 degrees. The link says the queen has no NEWS. Caps, hm. North, East, West, South. Blow up the mask to 4800x4800. Cut out the white squares. Overlay it so the arrow points N. WHAT KIND. Rotate to E. OF CYMBAL. Rotate W. CAN COVER. Rotate S. YOUR HEAD.
What kind of cymbal can cover your head?
A hi-hat cymbal. Or HIGH HAT.
EDIT - adding link to .jpg for visual assistance, courtesy of EGo. - SG

[In that picture, red letters are N, blue E, green W, and purple S. - EGo]

Nice job EGo!
40 minutes after it was posted...certainly a LOT quicker than the last couple weeks! Either we're getting smarter or Lyn's screening processes is getting more and more generous.
EDIT: Does anyone get the theme of this one? Am I just being thick? Rhythm Method requires a rhythmic method. Painless used the beheading trick (beheading being a theoretically painless execution). How does High Hat relate to a Queen, a Mask, and a Forest?
