[PFF E-MAIL] E-mail from anton@antonjeffries.com

I sent Madame Z an e-mail including the obituary describing Mr. Emerson's mob past, and the conversation log entry where he said he'd come down on whoever hurt her. I also cc'd it to Anton, and included the following:
Quote:
I'm cc'ing this email to Mr. Jeffries, your detective; he may spot
something I've missed, and in the interests of your safety, I want
all the information I have in his hands as soon as possible.

My response from Anton:
Quote:
Interesting obituaries these spooks have got. But I guess people who die
of old age don't normally enter spookdom.

I'm gonna use this information to start shaking some trees. I think I've
got to start acting and not reacting.

I just got a reply from Anton. I sent him the obituaries we found and suggested a bunch of questions.

Quote:
When you're right, you're right. Stanley is definitely not a spook. You
can read the details in my case notes, I'm sure (why did I even bother
putting up a password again?).

As a mob boss, Emerson would sure have a bunch of good works to do before
he could atone. That would also give him a lot of opportunity to have
hidden some cabbage away for later. Maybe he wants it again now for some
reason? He'd still need a living accomplice to do the dirty work, though.

I'm going to lean on Jasmine tomorrow. Nick's one cool customer and I
don't think he'd crack. Jasmine, on the other hand, seems ready to blow.
Hopefully, she'll blow hard enough to get this case wide open.

Emma's cornered me a couple of times complaining about the faces. She
obviously has no idea who (or what) it was. Basically, she saw something
white in the tower window, but that could be any of the ghosts. Heck, it
could be any joe in a white shirt.

Jack also needs some leaning, but I don't have anything to confront him
with. I talked to Sarah about his alibi and she says he was in during the
morning. That leaves his whole afternoon open. But if he left the
threat, how did he get out of the house and around without anyone seeing?

Anton

Heard from Anton today. Here's what he had to say:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Jasmine doesn't seem like a cold killer, but a passionate one? That I can
believe. I'll lean on her in a little and see what I can get out of her.

You're right, Samuel is still a question mark. He seemed the most nervous
at the poker game, although that might have been because he was so bad at
cards.

That harpy Emma? She's on the other side of the house from the graveyard,
so I wouldn't expect her to see anything. After a long afternoon
listening to her talk, I did get her to tell me which resident the faces
looked most like. She picked Jack, no hesitation. That deserves some
careful consideration...

I sent Anton the emails we had from sarah about the plates and got a reply
Quote:
That's quite a help indeed!

Sarah's comments set my instincts off like a fire alarm at an arsonist's
convention. I went back to the bag with the broken dishes in it and armed
with that picture, I was able to identify the plates. They're not identical,
but they're definitely more similar to that ironwood plate than to the rest of the plates.

Jack just got bumped up to prime suspect in my book. I just can't figure
out how he could have set the plates up to smash while he was outside the
house coming up the walk, though. He could have had an accomplice, but
who would have helped him? And why would he want to threaten Z?
I may have flunked out of middle school math, but I know this doesn't
add up.

Anton

Very interesting.

OK so I felt left out so I emailed Anton about my little puzzle I made for ya' all (and the bad guy). Here's the response:

Quote:
Yes, it was very helpful indeed.

I'm writing up my notes as we speak.
