WOA! SHE KILLED NICK AND HERSELF! WHAT A PSYCHO!
Actually I kinda was seeing someone like her once. Yikes!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There is a rumour that you and Nickolas died together and in some sort of romanic fashion. Care to tell me how it happened?
Oh, darling, it was so sad. We were driving out to Bay Horse for a romantic getaway, and poor Nickolas started to remember some old love of his life… some woman who was dead and gone. Such a sentimental. I reached out and put my hand over his, which was on the steering wheel, and told him in no uncertain terms that I would make him forget all about her. It was him and I, for the rest of our lives. He smiled, and we had such a connection! Everything would be divine.
And then cruel fate stepped in and the car skidded out on the slick road and we crashed into a tree. We died there in each other's arms.
And for the cookie:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Could he be talking about Madame Z??? The "dead and gone" may be metaphorically speaking.

i think he is talking about his first wife who died. i don't know how old madam z is but they died in 1959. she would have to be almost 50 to be his daughter from his first marriage. also, in their obituary it says they had no living relatives. i think maybe madam z reminds him of his first wife and that is why he seems to have a thing for her? also, i don't think we can say for sure that it was suicide, though it does seem suspicious.

Well I can read between the lines. The whole "I put my hand on his hand and it just happened to be on the steering wheel" smells really fishy to me.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
i definitely agree that that is very possibly what happened. you think there would be animosity from nicholas towards her if she had murdered him though.

Continuing the spoiler-laden speculation on the health of the Marshals' relationship:
Did anyone else notice Nickolas's Freudian slip in the conversation log?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
That mindset took me far. Very far… indeed, it took me almost to the end of my wife. Life. To the end of my life.
He goes on:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
And then at the end of my life, I was there with Jasmine, right there at the end. Why, I wouldn't have left her side if I could.
Which is particularly funny, in a grim way, given the theory about their deaths.

My theory:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Nickolas may be here to protect Madame Z from his wife. So he may be playing nice with her in order to be able to stick around and keep an (affectionate) eye at Z.

interesting. i missed that.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
so he couldn't leave her side for some reason. jasmine is definitely dangerous. i wonder how his first wife died, maybe she had a hand in it.
p.s. has anyone figured out that "who am i?" puzzle yet? i still haven't figured it out.

reply from my question:
Me: How I wish I could take you away from all that, what I would give to have a lady like you by my side, but you only have eyes for Nickolas. Still you seem so clever, what do you think of the mortals around you?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Why thank you, darling! You're quite kind.
What do I think of the mortals? Well Madame Z doesn't know anything about the finer things in life. Of course, we all want to help people. We all want to be known. But that seems to be the only thing she thinks about. What about money? What about comfort? Then again, she did buy the Wylie house. Maybe she's looking for the Wylie treasure too!
That detective asks too many questions, and has too few answers. I don't know why Madame Z keeps him in her employ. I suppose she feels sorry for him.
Perhaps she feels sorry for Jack too, since I can't see another reason to let him stay here. He doesn't have any appreciation for the finer things either. Well, except for how much he can sell them for.
That horrid neighbor... I don't like her at all, running around and accusing us of trampling on her lawn, or whatever it was she was accusing us of.
Stanley is nothing more than a love-sick man. Let me tell you, darling, that I have some experience with those sorts of things. In my day, I could wrap any man like that around my finger. Why, even Nickolas wasn't immune to my charm. This Stanley boy, though, I have no use for him.

I could use some serious hintage with the "name that tune" and the "who am I" puzzled for Jasmine. I know they were discussed before but I'm not sure if a solution was found.

as far as I'm aware they're both unsolved still, I'm struggling with them too.

Have you looked to see if anything is hidden in the name that tune one?

Yup, and it's not. It's just black on this one.
