[EMAIL] From Keith July 21 "City on Fire"

Keith,
I hadn't heard from you in a week. Are you okay? Aglaura police may
have their hands full with the arson investigation so they may be too
busy to stay hot on your trail (please, pardon the poor attempt at a
pun).
If you want to meet up this weekend, I'm going to be at the Lincoln
Park Zoo in Chicago on Sunday - it's a safe public place (like where
you met a friend with her dog).

The zoo? Now there's an idea I hadn't thought of. Unfortunately, I far enough away from Illinois right now that I don't think I could get there if I drove straight through. Sorry. Maybe it's some small consolation that I am hoping to maybe take care of another "one" this weekend, if everything works out. I'm not sure why but I have this unshakeable feeling that I need to get these into as many hands as possible, as soon as I can.

Thanks for your offer to help, though. I really appreciate it.

KM

Ooooh, there might be another delivery this weekend - for those not at ARGFest, watch the 307 pages or emails. Remember when we sent Keith our snail mails? Maybe instead of shipping items, he is using this information to set up a route of travel to area(s) where he knows friends will be available. If he is that far away from Chicago, then he must be headed south from PA or East.

Good luck this weekend, folks.

Josh,

How are you? Better than Aglaura, I hope. Damn, I can't believe what's going on back there. You've got to know that I never intended any of this to happen. I still can't figure out for the life of me what these freakin' masks have to do with anything, or why people would be willing to kill or burn down a town for them. I mean, WTF?

Wish me luck for this weekend and keep me in your thoughts, if you can. I'm trying to make arrangements for another "meeting" this weekend, even though I've got this feeling that something is wrong I just can't shake. So, like I said, wish me luck. I'll let you know what happens, if I can.

Hmm kinda the same as konas

I appreciate your offer to help and I just might take you up on it very soon. You see, I'm hoping to get take care of a little more business this weekend, like I did a couple of weeks ago, but just haven't settled on a final destination yet.

So, are you still at:

Are you around this weekend?

I edited my address for obvious reasons but it looks like I may be receiving the next mask or what ever he has in store. I will let you guys know what happens I still haven't got a location yet though unless he is planning to come here?

Yes, I do still have some of the masks, though I swear to you that I had no idea what I was getting involved in when I found and originally left with them. Man, I still have no freakin' idea what I'm dealing with, if we're going to be bare your ass honest here. But it's crazy-talk stuff, as you obviously know, and I'm doing everything I can to extract myself from it, so to speak.

In fact, I'm hoping to maybe take care of another one this weekend. So, are you still at:

Keith,

Aglaura is going crazy. From the sounds of things, there were acts of arson, and quite a few places were burnt to the ground. Mabie they were set by the same people framing you for the murder? In any case, the masks have got to be the reason. IT all seems to have started with them. I heard that you may have them. What the heck are you planning on doing with them? I'm concerned that whoever is looking for you will find you, and (if its the masks they want) they'll se any means necessary to get them.

We need to talk about this and more. I already gave you my home adress, but the number is ***-***-****. IF you decide to call, ask for John. 'Till next time, take care of yourself.

John

From the sounds of things, I will be getting a visit this weekend...

Yeah it looks like he wants to meet both of us? Perhaps we should meet him together or something? I am not sure where you live but it would be nice to meet a fellow ARGer

Yeah I am pretty sure he is or is heading to philadelphia since that is where I live and he mentioned coming here or meeting me near here. I will try and find out everything I can and I will keep you guys updated through out the weekend on what if anything happens!

Oh hmm so maybe he plans on coming here first and then heading down south? I know he was up north of philly the last time we knew his location so that would seem like a logical route. Thanks for the info lets see what he wants us to do before we jump to conclusions. ( I mainly meant that last line for myself hehe I get so excited about this stuff)

I'm pretty excited as well. This is my first ARG, and I really don't know what to expect. If he decides to stop by, the only thing that I'll have to worry about is that a friend of mine who lives half a block away is at my house almost every day, and he dosen't know to much about the ARG. However, its just a minor thing.

Well, off to bed for me. I'll update if i get a visit...

From Keith. Nothing new added to the info we already have.

Dash,

Thanks for the news brief from Aglaura. Kinda reminded me of the local reporter chick I used to see on TV back there. Speaking of "back there," it's really all going to Hell, isn't it? I never meant for any of that to happen, and still have a hard time believing it's all over the handful masks I left town with. I mean seriously, wtf is wrong with these people?

I agree, New Jersey = not safe, farther away = better. But for some gaddamn reason I haven't been able to just drive away, at least not too far. Something is keeping me here. The moth to the flame and all that crap . . .

Wish me luck. I'm hoping to set something up for this weekend. If that goes smoothly, maybe I'll get motivetd to turn the old car around and head the other direction. Other direction = good.

I'll be in touch.

KM

I sent this:

Quote:
Dear Keith,

I'm glad you moved on. The Aglaura site is reporting that the police are
getting closer to an arrest. This is the article:

Aglaura Police Chief Dawn Prufrock issued a statement on Monday July 10th
regarding ongoing local investigations, in particular a missing persons and
an investigation into the disappearance of six masks from the Aglaura Public
Library over a month ago. "We are pleased to announce significant progress
in both investigations," the statement reads, "and expect a fairly quick and
definitive resolution to both matters shortly." The statement also confirmed
that Aglaura resident Keith McCoy is no longer considered a missing person,
but is still being sought as a "person of interest" in regards to the
missing person investigation. The statement concluded with Chief Prufrock
saying, "Once these two cases are finally wrapped up, we look forward to
returning to the peaceful and quiet times Aglaura is known for."

I think the farther away from New Jersey you get, the safer you will be.
Thanks for keeping me informed.
Dash

Hehe this is my first real one besides Perplex City which was kinda hard to get into since it is all in the UK really. So yeah I will update too if my theory is correct I should be seeing him first though who knows!

Ugh, things have been so busy this week with a new job that I haven't been able to follow this all. Has anyone met up with Keith this weekend yet? Or at least set up a meeting time? Here's the email I recieved earlier this week...

BTW, if things don't work for my first couple of "targets" for this weekend, I just may make the trip to the city early next week. I know your address says Brooklyn, but do you ever make it over to the Village or Soho areas?

KM

Pretty much the same as others, but with a possible hint for ending up in NYC. I hope I didn't get back to him too late, but it's a good chance. Plus, it really depends on what happens with you guys this weekend, so who knows. It would be cool to actually get a chance at real life interaction though!
