[EMAIL] "Hi from sarah" 21 july 2006

Quote:
Dear all,

I am hopelessly and utterly behind on my email correspondence, and my only
remedy is to throw myself on the mercy of the court and claim extenuating
circumstances. I hope you don't mind a bit of a form letter. I counted
over 50 pieces of mail which I have not answered before I started to get
dizzy and had to sit down and put my head between my knees for a bit.

First of all, for those who wrote to congratulate me on winning the vote
to save the Library: we did something really special and amazing, all of
us together. It is overwhelming what can happen when a group of
determined people get together and combine willpower. I am quite sure
that without your wonderful and well thought-out emails and phone calls (I
wish I knew who sang that inspired song, too!), the vote would have swung
the other way. We did it. We saved the Library.

Which brings me to point number two. The fire. I just don't know what to
say about that. I am sure you can guess how absolutely crushing a blow
that was. After all the hard work we put into saving it, the Library was
practically flattened in one fell swoop. The building is unsalvageable.
There is a smallish percentage of the assets, about 15% or so, which can
be rescued and reused, but I have no idea where. I guess that will be
something that the city council and Mayor Dobbs will have to decide,
although after his last message on the Aglaura website with that little
jab about, "If those books had been digitized, they would have been
saved," well... I'm sure you can find both 1) the fallacy in the
statement, and 2) the gigantic dagger that I just pulled from my heart.
(Ouch. Bad form, Mayor. Kick a girl while she's down, will you?) The
fire was a real blow, and coming on the heels of the theft of my artwork
was very disturbing.

However, that brings me to my third item, which is that I received an
email from someone who actually has recovered one of the masks! Of course
I'm not going to say who or where, but suffice it to say that this is the
first ray of light that I have seen at the end of my personal tunnel in
days. I'm going to ask this person to keep it safe, since things here in
Aglaura couldn't get any weirder if they tried, and I'm sure it's safer
elsewhere.

So to sum up - we are a wonderful team, even in the face of great
adversity, and I am so incredibly grateful to you all that, as I wrote
those words, tears sprang to my eyes. How beautiful it is to see people
working _for_ something rather than _against_ it. Even though I've been
devastated by losing the Library, I keep that thread of hope alive which
you have all shown me: mankind is, at heart, a kind and benevolent thing.

I am not sure where I will be even a month from now, but I know that I
will treasure you and keep your memory with me for the rest of my life.
Thank you, one and all.

With all my heart,
A Very Weepy Sarah Wyatt

I just got this a few minutes ago, I am not sure if it means anything but the two spots "_for_ " and "_against_" where underlined in the email form. Also I dunn if A Very Weepy Sarah Wyatt is capatilized for a reason or just a coincidence but I don't think AVWSW means anything do you?
