[PFF][MAIL] Sarah's Antiques pamphlet and E.S. Wylie will

Just as I was about to leave for ARGfest, I got this in the mail. I scanned it real quick, but haven't had much time to digest what it says. I just wanted to make sure you guys didn't have to wait to see it until Monday when I get back Smile

At the end of the will he says
Quote:
There is nothing else for me here

He wrote the will on the day before he died. Sounds like he may have taken his own life.
We have an email addy for Sarah's Antiques now so i guess we have to think up some questions for her. I'll send off a quick email in a while if anyone has any ideas.

Oh and thanks Varin Very Happy

Ah, now things are pretty clear. I think I know what's going on. Smile

Plus we got another email addy too! Thanks for the scans.

Been keeping up on the story, but have been quiet thus far. I received one of these as well in the mail today. Havn't noticed any differences, though.

Supposedly he died at age 100, and the will is dated the day he died, but the third paragraph starts "Every day of my eighty-six years..."

Is the will a fake?

EDIT: Oh, and course our favorite reverend is the one who found the body, and thus the will he was clutching. Convenient, no?

first question for the antique shop is to find out what Jack has been after, what he has bought, and what he has been asking about.

Dates on the front doc add up start travel at 16, 59 years of travel makes him 75, then 25 years in Bay Horse. BUT the will states every day of my 86 years (as noted above) possibly the years of discovery were 59 + 25 = 84 so something definetely doesn't add up.

I have been trying to figure out some sort of code from the will. Hopefully it will give us a name (that we can confirm in the obituary) to tell us the grave that the treasure is buried.

I noticed an odd use of capitalization so i have been attacking from that angle. This is what i have so far:

Odd capitals- UWDHTHGCJWWEBH
There are also 3 more T's from Treasure but he uses a capitol on every treasure so i wasn't sure if they were important. Nothing there.

I also listed the very odd capitals (i just excluded all the words that seem important to him like the things he was leaving to Bay Horse)
Very odd capitals- UWDHTE
A bit more promising than the first one but still nothing.

Also tried:
First letter in each paragraph: ITEITNM
First letter in each sentence: ITME(I?)FITTINOMMT
Word count(by sentence): WILMIGPAYAPEGG

I'll try playing around with them a little more.

Some of you say you received these in the mail - was this email or were they actually posted to you?

Thanks

I just got mine today.

On a lark, I put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, to see what would happen - and I noticed that some of the darker areas seemed to become more pronounced, while the lighter areas seemed to fade a bit.

I'll try to get a scan up for you.

I got mine today too. Tallerbird, the first capital is V though, not U, where he says "the Devil may take rest of this legal Voudu." Voudu is another spelling of Voodoo. hope that helps.

I spotted the V but Voudu should be capitalized so i didn't include it. The U in the list comes from Unknown.

Let me say that if we have to cook our clue that's pretty messed up. The last time I did that was when we had to make pie for the AI game. Smile
