Whether collaboration, Flash decompiling, etc. etc. etc. ad infinitum constitute "cheating" has already been discussed to death here. As far as the "subculture and knowledge" of some other site "superseding" this forum, as far as I'm concerned, here on this forum, nothing "supersedes" it save a clear message from the game's makers.

Yes, people have said that before, too. If you would prefer not to play collaboratively, you are free to avoid this collaborative forum.

Hey I am collaborating, I think what I was trying to say that for those who choose to cherry pick the answers and not at least attempt to try and solve the puzzles initially will fall through the net, if people choose to collaborate then all I am saying is 'like any good treasure seeker, dont leave your tracks in the sand!'

If people are having difficulties at the the mo, then the last few puzzles will be excrutiatingly difficult to complete in the timelines given.

Good luck to all

Sabator - I think baseball may have misunderstood your question.

The answer is yes, the big "W" is an extra (or red herring) since the way to determine that West is part of the final coordinate has nothing to do with the letter "W" that is written on the wall.

Good luck to all with the remaining puzzles. This game is fun!

Thanks, Wintergirl
After completing the wall puzzle I realized that the W by the snake foot guy was not used which means the W is the last extra and by all rights we should have the complete coordinates to the treasure if that's what they are there for.

FYI to all go back to Bermuda and check out the plate again, real close
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You'll see ...5 could that mean we should use 15 in front of it like at Tropic of Cancer?

There is a subculture and knowledge that supersedes this site and forum,

I have already seen and completed the last three POTC puzzles, they have been revealed by at least four other members of a collective of the participating countries. This has been done by monotonous trial and error. Volvo and the programmers are timing all of the visits and clicks (mistakes) to see who are officially playing legitimately.

Be warned that this game is not all that meets the eye, the ad campaign the puzzles themselves and the various sites offering 'Help' are all carefully monitored and considered when choosing the final seven.

The best possible way to play is fair and if you cannot solve the puzzles as requested by yourself then believe me the final selection and puzzles used will be completely beyond your limits.

Keith,
Were you watching our progress under a different screen name or this one? It seems that you've only been a member since July 5!!

Thank you so much for your help with the Cozumel puzzles.

Thank you so much to Nodmeister, Pol, Mr_P, Bucanneer, piratenick, and everyone in this discussion for your help with the puzzles from Cozumel. I rolled the dice a few times for 7, but it didn't seem to give me any sensible answer. I didn't realize that it had to be a certain combination of 4 & 3. I would have never understood what to do with the Mayan heads on my own, either. Thanks for being so helpful. Also thanks again to the moderators of this topic.
Smile

Relabeled thread and merged some Cozumel discussion to make it easier to find for those still playing the puzzle trail.
