I still can't figure out Samuels roman numerals or the angle one. I would also appreciate a nudge for the Duchesse's pencil letters.

Tallerbird's hint for the angle one was just what I needed to push past my troubles ... glad he flagged me down Wink

okies, KH spoke to the spooks and the reply is:
Quote:
I talked to the ghosts. They were pretty unhelpful, as usual, but maybe
you'll know what they're talking about.

Jasmine said that sometimes punctuation counts. She also "had a feeling"
that you know who she's talking about, you just haven't told her his name.

The Duchess rambled on for a while, but I think the only important part
was when she said that sometimes she gets a little confused, but that she
hopes you can figure out what The Answer Is (yeah, the way she said it
definitely made it sound like a capitalized thing).

If that doesn't help, I don't know what to tell you.

KH

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So my thoughts:
We need punctuation for Name That Tune? Or does it mean not to use it?? Also is it relevant that this is a gif?
Who Am I? Is male but is the "had a feeling" important??
Coddled.. the hints are confusion and the capitals...could it be an anagram of a play?

it depends how you are struggling with it
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Pencils have 6 sides
may help though.

I GOT IT!!! I FINALLY GOT THE NAME THAT TUNE PUZZLE!!!! apparently there were some variations that I didn't try

Alisdairpark, this is kind of a big hint, but I know how much trouble we both have had on this one.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
When Jasmine says sometimes punctuation counts, she means use it, don't ignore it

ok, now on to the stupid "who am I" puzzle

Thanks

Thanks for the help on the pencil puzzle. I thought it might have been something like that, but I didn't know for sure.

OK Stupid if you insist Laughing 1:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The angles aren't angles, think of ways to communicate, from a distance

2:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Think of ways to communicate with flags, then ignore the flag part

Has the "Who Am I?" puzzle been solved yet? Also, can someone just kick me towards the right direction with the "Ruth Puzzle"? Yes, it's missing. So what? Cool

Nicko, I can kick you toward the "Ruth" answer, but be warned, you'll be kicking yourself more -- mercilessly.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Based on what we've learned of Mr. Emerson, it is indeed something we might call him.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The puzzle has no "ruth"s in it at all.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It is completely without ruths.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
And that makes it...no, even at this late date I can't bring myself to finish the sentence completely. But I don't need to, do I?

OK That's it. No more puzzle-solving for me before breakfast.

Very Happy

For the Best Picture puzzle:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The one starting with The needs the The to be dropped to get the word
yeah I know I dropped a note to query this but the Duchess insisted this was the correct way to list it

About the Duchess's hint for her Coddled puzzle:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I took it to mean that it was an anagram, and that the unscrambled version started with "The Answer Is", like so many of the other puzzles. However, that doesn't work -- there aren't enough E's and S's in the text.
