[UPDATE] PerplexCity.com 25th July 2006

Wave 4 Release - The Details! (And Updates)
25th July 2006

As previously announced, Wave 4 is being released worldwide on Monday 31st July.

Cards will be on sale from a number of outlets worldwide, starting from each store's usual opening hours. However, the unique card codes will only be uploaded to our website at 5pm GMT - so that's 6pm in the UK, noon on the USA East Coast, 9am on the West Coast and 3am the following day for most Australians. That way, most people should be able to have bought their cards before the solve system is up, making it a bit fairer for everybody.

The cards will be available both in "pure" packs, containing only Wave 4 cards, and also in mixed packs, containing a selection of all 4 waves. Lots of retailers should be stocking them - the best plan is to look up your nearest store using the Store Locator, and drop them a line to ask. Needless to say we've been working flat-out to give all our stockists a chance to get their Wave 4 cards in time!

Wave 4 is the final release of Season One, completing the 256 card set with 7 new cards for the red-through-purple sets and 10 new for both the black and silver difficulties; comprising 62 new puzzles in total. As usual, they'll range from the amusingly straightforward to the chillingly challenging.

We'll be celebrating the momentous occasion with a number of meet-ups around the world - see our Community post for details.

There have also been a few minor site updates, and a new feature -- Related Tags -- you can now see what other tags are popular amongst those people who have set a particular tag. For the full list of updates, please check our forums.

I asked them earlier in the week if they were doing pre-orders and they couldn't confirm it, but is likely their webpage will be updated on Monday for Wave 4, so you wont receive them till Tuesday.

They're not out of stock - that's just what Firebox always uses when something is on preorder Wink - cause technically they don't have the stock yet.

I believe the Out of Stock descriptor currently only refers to the fact that it's a pre-order.

that's how it's worked up until now (wave 3 pure, frexample)

anyway the big question is .. anyone got any idea when they'll be shipping them ? will they arrive monday morning ? :)

I would probally say delivery for arrival on Monday as firebox do have very close ties with Mind Candy

Most retailers like myself will be getting them on the monday for a tuesday/wednesday delivery (depending if Royal Mail take out there thumbs Wink )
