[PFF] E.S. Wylie

Stanley Sheckles turned out to be a human (pre-ghost?) who was getting his connection puzzles from the real ghosts. Interestingly, he seems to have been replaced in the contacts list with E.S. Wylie himself. Here's a thread to discuss the contact puzzles for Wylie.

The first contact puzzle is an image of a sailboat.

Hint 1:

Those are naval signal flags

Answer:

They spell: hunger

Another connection puzzle for Wylie:

It's an image/effigy of a medieval knight, with the letters "T", "O", "M" , and "B" in the corners, and a rune-like caption at the bottom.

Some analysis:
The knight:

The image is of the tomb of William Marshal (yes, spelled just as Nikolas spells it). Sir Bill was a Knight Templar and 1st Earl of Pembroke. He died in 1219 and was buried in Temple Church, London. The image is of the effigy on his tomb. See http://www.lodgephoto.com/galleries/uk-london/templechurch/pages/UK-F-201.html

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Stanley Sheckles is pretending to be E.S Wylie so as to trap the bad guy. NDEMETER came up with a fake message/puzzle (see Stanley Sheckles thread) - the puzzle is the TOMB puzzle referred to above; the solution of which is the name of a grave that Anton is going to stake out to trap the guy.

If i remember correctly you need to leave out the space. I submitted my answer in lowercase with no space. Hope that helps.

Thanks Tallerbird. That's just what I've been doing and still no good. I've done the deciphering numerous times and keep coming up with the answer in the previous spoiler. Am I missing something?

That is the correct answer, exactly how i entered it. Maybe there is a problem with the site. Try it again later.
