I`m searching for the pages, which were jumped over.

In this case I tried the elements.

At first it looked to me like a keyboard (3 lines, 7 - 9 keys with letter per line), but then the ",#" segment and lack of obvious words confused me.
And then there was a -5 and a 1-0 that didn't make sense.

Here is what I got (I used the symbol as the key for the number).

I'm not bothering to spoiler since it isn't a solve, but maybe it might jog someone.

Code:
B Y C,! I,^ B J,@ Y J,# Z U C,! I,^ B J,@,) Z A,),$ Z,% I Z,-%,$ F Z Y A U Z,! J,@ Y A X J shift,) I Z S Y,# A I F S U Shift J,@ X T,&,&,% C K B Caps Z I,& A,@

So, I'm probably totally off base and heading down the wrong path. But it was interesting to see the sights along the way Rolling Eyes

FYI, The original message on this page was solved as:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
we have need of you are you willing to help

I have rearranged the numbers somewhat in hopes that it might give someone an ideal how to solve it. But then maybe they don't need rearranging at all.
Quote:

1-5 3-6 1-3,1
3-8,6
1-5 2-7,2
3-6 2-7,3
1-1 3-7 1-3,1
3-8,6
1-5 2-7,2,0
1-1 2-1,0,4
1-1,5
3-8 1-1,-5,4
2-4 1-1 3-6 2-1 3-7 1-1,1
2-7,2
3-6 2-1 1-2 2-7 1-0,0,1
3-8 1-1 2-2 3-6,3
2-1 3-8 2-4 1-2 3-7 1-0 2-7,2
1-2 3-5,7,7,5
1-3 2-8 1-5 2-0 1-1 3-8,7
2-1,2

It might be possible the numbers have something to do with rearranging the words to give us another way of proceeding.
Quote:

Here begins the second death. Upon the cross of solstices and equinoxes shall you be crucified, and then sealed away inside a great tomb. Your soul must find the way your body cannot, the way to freedom.

renewal defeat hidden avail vie weapon concealed impart discover wall faintly know under beneath ruin escape your offset unworth inviolate learning envoy ghosts souls hopelessness fail departures facade

[edit] Made this neater, since it's not needed after catherwood's solve below.

I hope no one minds that I solved this one*. :D

Yes, the hyphenated number pairs are just pairs, and the commas are just shorthand for when a first digit repeats in the next pair. Thus:
Code:
1-5 3-6 1-3,1 3-8,6 ...
becomes
15 36 13 11 38 36 ...
Now, with those pairs, you make a table with rows and columns, and lookup the paired numbers as intersections:
Code:
..0123456789
1.FEDCBA....
2.PONMLKJIHG
3.ZYXWVUTSRQ
And the message revealed is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
at certain times certain people are able to see into different worlds find us such a person

Oh, and that ",-5" seems to have been a typo, just ignore the extra dash.

*(solved the numbers, that is; I have no idea what the list of words on the page is for -- yet.)

Catherwood, I don't know about everyone else, but I for one am grateful you could make some sense of all those numbers and do what you did.

So solve away.

Way to go !!!! Very Happy

Catherwood Rock On. I Worshippy you.

All together then http://www.mystes.com/sageilluminator says:

Quote:
We have need of you, are you willing to help? At certain times certain people are able to see into different worlds, find us such a person.

Looks like we need a psychic or someone who is clairvoyant or able to astrally project.

There is one Dale Sprague, who seems to have changed reality with a wish.

A Sarah Wyatt, two identities in two realities.

Iris Page, one sensitive to the energies of the world

J.D. Willingham, one who dreamed of a man, then became host to the man.

Just covering all of my bases n.n

I suppose I could also put:

Quote:
Myself, two realities, one game.
Razz

Great solve btw, Catherwood.

I hope I'm not completely off, but has anyone else made sense of the first sentence? The only bit of matching I could make was with the phrase "the cross of solstices and equinoxes", on a page talking about the mystical layout of Prague.

I've been thinking about Czech mystics and the like (and how Prague is close to Sprauge (although not seriously)). While this may have entirely no impact on anything, I figured I'd share it with everyone.[/url]

Mapmaker, here is the best that I've been able to come up with.

From Part Seven of The Giza Discovery : The Second Coming of the Antichrist By Peter Goodgame at

http://www.redmoonrising.com/Giza/SavDest7.htm

Specifically this from the above page:

Quote:
"In the King's Chamber was enacted the drama of the "second death." Here the candidate, after being crucified upon the cross of the solstices and the equinoxes, was buried in the great coffer... While his body lay in the coffer, the soul of the neophyte soared as a human-headed hawk through the celestial realms, there to discover first hand the eternity of Life, Light, and Truth, as well as the illusion of Death, Darkness, and Sin. Thus in one sense the Great Pyramid may be likened to a gate through which the ancient priests permitted a few to pass toward the attainment of individual completion."

Hope this helps. I haven't read the whole page so I don't know if there is anything there that would help or not.

the phrases above the "******" was for a previous puzzle (which may or may not be related to the numbers solved by catherwood). previously, the page only had the 2 top phrases. the numbers were added today (as noted by delusional above)

see 2 pages back for the solve to the top 2 phrases, linked here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=258111#258111

the original text for the "second death"/"cross of solstices and equinoxes" bit is from here: http://www.sacred-texts.com/eso/sta/sta09.htm which is also the source document for the solve leading to sageilluminator.html (quoted in the post here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=258002#258002)

This is what happens when you don't pay close enough attention to an ARG. I consider myself trouted.

Also mapmaker there is a pretty extensive list of links in this thread where you can research the real mytai/mystes/mysteries. It has a lot to do with the game and is also some pretty interesting material to read! http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15472
I really suggest anyone who hasn't read these yet checks em out even if just to learn about them, it is a really good read!

Oh and good job Catherwood congrats on the solve! Great worK! I just sat down to read the thread and thought to myself "oh great here we go another puzzle that will take a week to solve, and then WAIT IT'S SOLVED YAY!" hehe thanks!

EDIT: Oh and I have an idea, perhaps we are not looking for a psychic or mystic but maybe an astronomer or physicist? After all the incunabula is all about scientists and theoretical physics and stuff like that (sorta). In my opinion the subatomic world IS a different world but then so is the mind and outerspace. So maybe we should look into that as well?

How did you know to make that particular table, in that specific configuration?

Looks like he took the alphabet, reversed it and put it in Z first, going left to right, down to up using a grid that goes to 9, I'm assuming because 0 doesn't appear in the number pairs, 3 rows because the first number in each pair only goes up to 3.

I could be wrong though.
