[Viral?]Lego Bionicle / Free The Band

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Maybe you heard the rumors.
Or maybe you heard the lies "THEY" want you to believe. Well, we're putting up this site to bring you the truth.

Today my brother's Lego Magazine, complete with Bionicle comic, came in. On the back of the comic was an ad for "Free the Band" at www.freetheband.com. Nothing much there yet, but looks interesting. I'm figuring...Viral, although a Lego ARG would be pretty whack.

Saw this in my son's magazine this month too. Fascinating...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I wonder if there's any connection with AIK/All Insane Kids, who did a music video for one of the Bionicle movies and other music for the Bionicle web site?

Location: Milwaukee. That's in Wisconsin. Yeah.

I'm thinking the band is the All-American Rejects. Their song Move Along was shown in a commercial for a new Bionicle... something or other. Inika. Yes. Also, the hairstyles seem to match up with the members of the band on the silhouettes... maybe.

The commercial talks a bit about how the "Pirakha have captured the All-American Rejects and are still holding them on their ocean liner on the high seas" (or something like this), and then ends with "Help us save the band at www.freetheband.com". Anyways, it got me thinking: kids ARG?
