Crazy, that means they have 100% markup.
We should do a price comparison to other countries. Using the Big Mac index ...everyone find the price of a big mac, a cup of coffe and a pack of cards
For Australia:
cards: 8.50
coffee: AU$2.50-3.00
big mac: ???

That'd be handy, except EB, uhh, aren't going to sell any more PPC cards after the first wave. O.o

What Colin means, I assume, is that if they're giving you that discount, it's because:
a) They're not selling what packs they have, and
b) They've marked wholesale prices of the cards up enough that in doing so, they're still not selling at a loss - they'd still be doing more than breaking even.

Join the club - despite MC's assurances to the contrary we have no wave 4 cards here in Vancouver, Canada. We have one of the original nine stores here but never get anything until a month late.

I doubt it, somehow, deku.
And Evil - sucks, doesn't it? More so for you because of the whole 'original store' thing, but regardless, the end result is the same - we have no cards. ._.

No, scratch that. Cards did, in fact arrive here, just before closing time. My bad - well done. MC!

Firebox order came in yesterday, pretty quick turnaround (order in on Thursday last week). And, I reiterate, ~44 bucks for 8 Wave 4 + 1 Wave 1 pack (bonus) is super value compared to retail.

You lucky beggers, if I had've known the Firebox order would've got here so quickly I would've ordered, although knowing my luck the cards wouldn't have arrived in time. Oh well, it'll be SolveFest 2006 in three weeks!

Here's the summary from WA:
* There are no independent shops stocking it that aren't listed on the website. (There's one new EB that isn't on the list.)
* On the website, they list the Electronics Boutique chain and two other stores. Of them;
- I've contacted roughly half of the EBs on the list. While they
do have cards, none of the staff know what they are. No store had
more than six packs. Staff at EB do not know if the new wave will be
stocked.
- For the one Games World and Al's Card Shop, I bought a faded, dusty,
broken, half-full display pack that was in both cases the first and
only display box those stores purchased. Neither of these stores
intend to purchase any more cards, since they sold so few.
(There is one other store that thought they'd possibly ordered some PerplexCity cards recently but they can't recall the details.)
It appears that Western Australia does not have a source for PerplexCity cards. This leaves me with only two options, neither of which are particularly attractive. I either order cards from interstate/overseas, or I order an entire display box at a time.
What I'm hoping to do is get a friendly local gaming store to get a display box of pure 4 and a display box of mixed. I'll buy half of each immediately, then whatever's left after a couple of months. I'm not sure if they'll go for that.

When did they order the cards? If they come by sea it'll take weeks. Why can't we just order cards directly from the supplier?
Don't take this the wrong way, but you really need to write better than that. You didn't use one punctuation mark, not to mention spelling.
