Yeah, we were waiting for the jokers to show up in the meta puzzle with the card deck.

So bang goes the theory that cards 229 and 233 with 'missing' symbols were the jokers!

Do the card with the joker have the meta letter parts in the corner?

There must be a misprint then, like on "opposites attract" as one of them must have a symbol on.

I don't know about this card but the other joker is #223 and it doesn't have any letter parts on.

On the solve form it says:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Please give the last names only, in alphabetical order.
And then there are three submission boxes labelled "one", "two" and "three".
Hopefully that helps!

I tried, to no avail:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Dvorak, Glidden, Sholes
Can someone tell me what I'm missing, or if I am totally off-base?
thanks

judging from the posts this card has something to do with typewriter keyboards,as some one who can not type, is there a method to the typed text on the card? do you shift or use another keyboard?

You could shift to another type of keyboard, but you'd have to be referring to a normal one for letter placements if its done that way.
Theres a left handed and right handed Dvorak keyboard layout as well.
Sholes and Glidden developed the Qwerty keyboard.
I might see if I can find a qwerty-dvorak translation type program, see what that comes out with.
:Edit:
Found one. Going qwerty-dvorak = rubbish.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It is in dvorak, find a dvorak keyboard image and map it out from there.
Heres a helpful starter
a=a
e=d
i=g
o=s
u=f
I'm now pondering how to do the answer. Can someone confirm if the tries above are correct but are in the wrong order? Because one of them came a good few years after the other 2.

Yeah I realised that later on. I've got the message translated.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Does it want the answer as Dvorak Glidden Sholes? Although wiki gives another man, Soule. Dvorak is one of them certainly because of the message.
So we could have
Dvorak Glidden Sholes
Dvorak Glidden Soule
Dvorak Sholes Soule
Although I wondered after the failed attempt further up if it wanted them in alphabetical and chronlogical order.
