card text
pop music is an international language
since the inception of the uk singles chart on november 14th 1952 (where american al martino was top of the pops with'here in my heart') acts from all round the world would have been in the british top 40 . we've translated these song titles into the acts' native languages, but can you tell us the names of the artists we're looking for?

I think it's
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ace of Base (All that she wants)
BBE (Seven days and a week)
Alphaville (Big in Japan)
Baccara (Yes Sir I can boogie)
Aha (The sun only shines on TV) EDIT should be a-ha
2 Unlimieted (No limit) EDIT should be unlimited, a typo not being clever
Catatonia (you've got a lot to answer for)
EDIT; the answer page asks for them in a different order. Swap a-ha and catatonia. The answers posted here tally with the list above.

the welsh in the catatonia tune translation is awful,
the 'lot' theyve used, 'choelbren' means a lot at an auction, thats why i got confused!

Grr, darn wikipedia not giving the names of the singles on the German band's discography. I went straight past them on the list of German bands and ended up with a different one, who must have covered it, and was told it was wrong.

Still can't get it... I've tried the various variations and even though someone says the correct answers are in the 2nd post, that doesn't work for me.
Can someone provide the confirmed solve?
