Was half hoping someone would come up to me and say hi, I'm sign-so!!! Seeing as I had no idea what you all look like!!! But alas, this was not to be!

I did accuse someone of being you. But they denied it.

Dan Hon is having his camera confiscated at the next meet. That is all.

Speaking as someone who is quite beautiful I'm not that bothered. But if it makes the ugly people happy...

I was looking at the photos of the meet at work trying to see how many times I'd been snapped. I got many strange looks when I started jumping round screaming "That's my ear!"

The looks didn't get much better when I then said "Sorry. Don't worry, their are photos of me on the internet."

I really should think about what I say. Or maybe not, I find life can be much more interesting this way - see above for evidence/proof.

If you will insist on pulling the famous ice-cube/decolletage trick Duckie, you must expect wandering eyes. You'd just performed it again for Adrian hadn't you?

Interesting facts from the evening:

  • Idlemichael looks like a big Coxtin (I might be being a hair fascist)
  • SteveC looks like my Uncle Charlie (that's not euphemism) and sounds like him too
  • Wishi's not famous (but will still sign things when asked)
  • Wukka doesn't have a hairy back (I think he plucks it - sorry, I am a hair fascist)
  • SebFlyte has an umbrella sculpted from a single piece of (I forget...plywood?) and it has a big knob on the end
  • One or two of you are a lot older than I thought, most of you are a lot younger, I wouldn't like to meet any of you in a dark alley
  • My favourite conversation was about syphilis and the eurovision song contest
  • The Che Guevara exhibition at the V&A costs £5 and consists of four (very similar) posters and a montage. Number9Dream and I will be putting together an exhibition of his face and charging similar entry (to the exhibition not his face, that's more expensive)
  • A sigificant number of us are capable of dancing like loons when the mood is upon us. I would reveal who, but I had my eyes closed in order to feel the beat better
  • Despite repeated attempts they won't play the theme from Flashdance
  • Whitechapel is the most confusing tube station in the world. Everyone seems to be playing a game where the object is to sit on a stationary train for half an hour and then see whether you can beat everyone to the other platform and sit on that one for a bit. It then starts again. It's fun when you need to vomit
  • A pair of men's pants (apparently tight Calvin Kline) was found in Little Italy the following day. I didn't notice anyone's trousers coming off, but again, I had my eyes closed
  • I considered myself really canny not buying cards at the event and waiting until my orders involving coupons and vouchers arrived, but now I'm really jealous and they're still not here

I forgot about that Eurovision / STDs conversation... that'll have to be continued one day, I feel.

I was in attendance, but unfortunately, I had an attack of the shy-and-retirings, and didn't feel sufficiently emboldened (or drunk) to blunder into conversation with people who all seemed to know each other. That's the peril of being a bit of a Johnny-Come-Lately to virtual community things like these, I suppose. Still, it was a fun evening, I spent £30 on cards (0 silvers, 2 blacks, many dupes. Bah!), made a couple of trades and recognised one or two people from their Unfictional infamy renown (even if I was too bashful to say hello).

I hereby do solemnly promise not to be such a shrinking violet upon the occasion of there being another UK event that I am able to attend. Smile

Good, there's no need to be such a silly old queen. Just find out who Juxta is and then don't speak to him-that's what everyone else did. Laughing

That's the sort of community spirit that embiggens us all. Except Juxta.

I was lucky, I'd have been like that had I not gone to ASIB before and already met some people, I managed to meet some people from UF, and was even told I was younger than they thought I would be, dunno who said that though, LOL. I think I should check the photos, I think I got photographed a couple of times throughout the night, not sure who by though.
