GRRR!

I am fairly confident I know the five books, but for some reason, I can't get the right combination.

I know book 2 has two titles and I used the one with the main character's name, but book 4 seems to have at least two variations (maybe 3).

Can anyone confirm if any of the answers remove 'the' from the traditional titles?

DiG...

#2 I found using the search string '"birthday picnic" landaus motor car' in google, which led me to the wrong name of the right book.
#4 I used '"wicked princes" tortoise'
Even when I had found both of them, I wasn't 100% sure on either.

his hint for #2 is the ONLY thing that would have helped me. Wink

Every time I search on the MLI clue (and it was mine so apologies if it doesn't work for you) I get the same thing on google.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
She isn't the author, but she wrote about the author. You may be on the right track but this one wasted me a go as this book has 2 names from this route, so be careful.

Yeah, for some reason pluralising 'Landau' makes all the difference, 'coz lord knows I drove myself slightly bonkers googling for it...

I searched for landau, picnic and dogcart and found a link to MILFHunter - I can safely assume that isn't right . . .

I am so annoyed with this card. Can someone check my answers and tell me where i'm going wrong:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1. The da vinci code - Brown
2.Henrietta's house - goudge
3. The count of monte cristo - dumas
4. The land of green ginger - langley
5. The little broomstick - stewart

I keep typing this in exactly and keep getting locked out. I want to get this card solved. I'm sure they are right but I'm having a problem with punctuation, does all punctuation need to be entered. Also does the word "the" need to be entered.

DarkHuman says yes on the apostrophe, but no answer yet on all the "the"s.
